Revisiting this episode on Patreon. Have to say, never been diagnosed with schizophrenia, just Schizo-personality mumbo jumbo at one point in my life. There were times at my lowest where I was genuinely terrified and would cry when it came time to go back to my apartment, because there were 3 different *insert the creature meme here* that lived there too. In my mind, I KNEW it was all inside my head, couldn't harm me, weren't real, etc., but it still held so much power over me. Looking back, it's still terrifying to know just a little of what our mind can to to itself. Okay, Nick trauma dump over with. Stay creeped

Pinkie Hi · October 2, 2026

It really rubs me the wrong way how the article or whatever is being read calls the girls monsters. Especially after showing multiple times the mental illness that was present and how at least one of them believed, that they had to do that to save their families. The girl that got attacked is of course the main victime here, but a story can be tragic in more ways then one

R
Rayne · September 26, 2026

I know this is old, but gonna give my two cents that no one asked for: while I like true crime, I like when it is done respectfully, and this ain't it chief. Please think before having Hunter voice act real people going through real traumatic and horrible events. What the fuck was that. I think you both have done true crime in respectful ways on your own channels, so idk why this was done in such an awful way. I get covering this story because Slenderman is so prevalent in the community and it could be good to acknowledge and cover, but you would need to cover it in a very different manner, it can't just read in the same way you cover fictional stories.

Stop depending on them to do exactly what you want them to do. You joined the patreon for extra content, not for them to dance like a circus monkey for you. (get outside more)

I avoided this episode for a while because I’ve heard the slenderman stabbing story many times, but they’re take on it was really unique. I haven’t heard a story that more focuses on Morgan’s point of view. I didn’t know the extent of her mental issues before coming across slenderman.

I’m hella late on this, but as a person who lived in the town where this happened, it was the equivalent of them mentioning Voldemort in Harry Potter and I wanted to comment it’s pronounced “Waaa- Kesha”

B
Bailey Chwalek · August 9, 2026

I’m only at the start but I am curious if they go into the abuse the two perpetrators faced by medical staff while incarcerated. It’s horrible to think that this crime originally only had one victim who luckily survived only for doctors and in one of the girls cases her own parents; turned them into a new set of victims via withholding medications or overdosing or underdosing them. This was to be able to plead insanity but all it did was make their mental issues worse. Like yes what they did was horrible, but to torture children, even children who are capable of evil acts, takes another degree of evil to do.

You guys are reading a scary story but this time it isn’t fictitious. It’s something that really happened and I think that’s cool and a nice break so I appreciate it. It’s more interesting than reading dumb slop.

F
FungusFangs · July 27, 2026

Nobody's gonna read this cause it came out 2 months ago but scrolling through the comments I think people acting a little performative on how "distasteful" this is. I stopped listening to this one because, I mean I already heard it. It wasn't that long ago it happened, Hunter already covered it, this was just information I already knew but told way slower so I didn't care. Disregarding the fake pearl clutchers in the comments, I think there IS a way to creepypasta-ify true crime and have it not be just the same info but slower. Legit just go into it like it's a regular creepypasta, change names, create characters and write from hypothetical perspectives and then at the end reveal it's based on a real thing that happened. Like you could do a fictionalized version of Mary Vincent or Amber Tuccaro's story and they would sound completely unrealistic, so at the end when it's revealed not only is it something that really happened there was a MASSIVE miscarriage of justice in both cases and that in of itself is horrifying. Again, ain't nobody reading this, but I feel like doing a fully fictionalized retelling of the events gives enough leeway for the regular jokes so nobody has to act offended by it and at the same time it makes the real details that more horrifying.

We complain when they read stories we don't want, we complain when they read stories we do want, we complain when they try something new other than a story, there truly is no winning for them. Love you boys and appreciate all the hard work that goes into the show

Day 805 of requesting- Would be cool to watch you guys read through a collection of classics from the Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark books. There's three volumes so lots of good ones to pick from. They're also banned in a lot of schools now, thankfully not until after I graduated because I loved them and they scared the hell out of me, especially Harold the Scarecrow. It would be an awesome grab bag episode, not to mention the artwork by Stephen Gammell is excellent nightmare fuel. Plus: since it was a compilation of stories and folk tales, Alvin Schwartz, the author, did footnotes at the end of the books detailing some of the origins and variations of the stories, etc.

I liked this. I really did. For me, it just worked as a fairly serious reading of a tragedy, with some humour thrown in here and there which felt generally tasteful to me. They showed a lot of respect for Payton, and took care to highlight the details that deserve attention and consideration. To me, the episode felt a lot more about what actually happened, and how devastating it was, than about putting on a show. I guess I see the criticism, since Hunter and Isaiah themselves didn’t feel much different as personalities, but it just seemed more like humans reading about a crime case, and having natural reactions, than hosts making a spectacle out of it. As for the concerns about this becoming a regular thing, I don’t think that’s the plan - I think they chose this case because it was related to Slenderman, and the anniversary was coming up, so why not remind people about it, you know?

For various reasons i just listened to this episode almost a month after release so i don’t know if in future episodes they mention any of the comments here. But i didn’t see anything wrong with this episode, like hunter said they were just injecting some brevity breaks into this horrible story. Heyo party people. I'm quite a bit behind and I'm binging now to catch up. I see a lot of really upset people in the comments sometimes. I'm just happy to listen to them read and chat so I feel like people are overreacting or becoming entitled about this sort of thing like begging for them to read your suggestions. I was under the impression this was a donation subscription with ad free posts and some occasional complementary exclusive content.. It's kind of disheartening to see so often people ripping on them for not doing their podcast the way other people want them to. Idk if anyone else is lagging behind like me but I hope the comments don't poison the experience for those of us not in the moment

Can’t tell y’all how much I enjoy the podcast, and I think it’s fun when you change the pace every now and again. H
Hunter Steward · June 16, 2026

I don't know who this comment is for but whatever. I think what pisses me off the most about this episode is the absolute terrible comprehension coming from the comments. This ENTIRE episode I was horrified because they were able to paint such a clear picture of the events that no documentary or article could ever have achieved and it's so obvious from the start that Isaiah and Hunter both talk about this tragedy with a heaviness and understanding of what they're talking about. They never once made fun of Peyton, any of the parents, or of the event itself. The only jokes they ever made was about their younger selves and making overexaggerating examples. Im dumbfounded to be reading comments on Patreon, YouTube, and Reddit that say they stopped 15 minutes into the episode because that's exactly where the story starts with no jokes ever being made. They could've done a way worse true crime story to cover but this one is one of the rare stories that has a happy ending. Hearing about Peyton and her indominabtle human spirit was inspiring and makes you realize how powerful the will to live really is. If you don't feel comfortable with true crime or just don't want to hear anymore then that's fine but to not even give it a chance and bash on the both of them for not reading another shitty story from 15 years ago is stupid and childish. The story also paints an important lesson for any parent whether new or experienced and that is to always check in on your kid and their mental health because sometimes you can stop what happened here.

D
DruepyDrue · June 23, 2026

I agree wholeheartedly. To me, this episode painted a respectful picture of the ENTIRE situation. I have watched a lot on the slenderman stabbings but nothing that has painted a chronological picture like this.

I can see why people are complaining about treating this with seriousness, but at the same time I don’t want the boys to think they can’t cover stuff like this. I somehow missed this episode, so I'm a little late. But if you haven't watched the interrogation of these two girls it is sureal. I believe EWU has it on youtube. And it's not to gawk at, but to observe the absolute confusion of the detectives as these two small kids describe Slenderman. Overall I think EWU does a good job persenting that kind of content with respect and expert opinions.

I'm just here for the wonderful banter and chemistry of the hosts in an effective audio format. Found the pacing of events covered to be a bit awkward or sluggish at times, but the bit about the inept K9 unit killed me. Glad you guys happened to pick a story with a happy-ish ending to test waters with. Wouldn't mind more of this to be honest. Maybe sticking to conspiracies, unexplained mysteries, or occult folklore instead attempted murder cases and missing person cases would be the play if you guys revisit the format? Keep things a bit silly given the spontaneous backlash over subject matter.

I personally really enjoyed this format, everything is bleak in this world, sometimes it's important to learn to laugh at the atrocities to cope, otherwise it's tears. I think they did a good job covering the details of the story without being disrespectful and making it too silly there is joking moments but again it's to lift the mood, bad things happen all the time and pretending it doesn't doesn't help anyone.

e
em · June 7, 2026

i think i would feel a lot better about these kinds of stories if more things were sourced. had a lot of moments mid episode where i was asking myself "how is this known?" / "where does this anecdote come from ?" hearing sfx like the monitors beeping for her in the hospital was also very jarring for a real life episode. all of this has been said in better ways already im sure. i just wanna add my voice to the amount of people saying that this is okay as a one of f thing. but as a reoccurring thing? not a fan. there's not even much to even get into about the "story". just mostly >" here's what happened" > "yeah that's fucked up" -- this format feels limited.

K
Kenser Wynn · June 7, 2026

Okay so I am not schizophrenic but I have brain damage from my time in the military which is left me with auditory hallucinations so uniquely different from someone with schizophrenia I do not have any confusion I have the constant frame of mind to be able to identify what is there and what isn't there the knowledge that I can do that I think is the only thing that keeps me sane. Granted the hallucinations are best described as radio static stuck in between two stations I also couldn't imagine what it would be like if it was something more substantial some tangible phrase or word that I could cling to because I hear it all the time non-stop it never ends. Very manageable as it is but the thought of it getting worse or me not being able to recognize it is a constant terror in the back of my mind I can't imagine how people with severe hallucinations can a deal with the day today.

We had a whole conversation in class a while after it happened about if any of us had visited the website. Me being the class goth of course I was all over that shit but made it very clear to our teacher that normal people don’t believe anything sketchy on the internet, especially badly written horror style fanfiction. We made cards for her after she was out of intensive care, no idea if she ever actually received them or cared but I still genuinely hope that she never has to interact with that level of mental illness ever again. While I definitely don’t think this episode is in great taste, *especially* with them pointing out the sensationalization of the Sallie house, it’s kind of wild how most of the comments are completely missing the point of why it’s in bad taste. Instead of pointing out the uneasiness of making jokes around a brutal attempted murder case of a child everyone’s saying things along the lines of “this is terrible, how could you read about a real case instead of the story *I* recommended. I don’t want to hear about a real little girl I want to hear ‘Im a teacher and the Tunky man is looking at me, here are the rules’, im so disappointed.” However I feel like something discussing real life horror could be done effectively, just not starting with the incredibly tragic attempted murder of a very real human child

I think the "problem" is making a real world crime in story-form. Trying to fit it into your normal creepypasta narration then it becomes kind of problematic. It would be different if you would just be discussing the case.

The HBO max doc on this is genuinely horrible. They didn’t get permission from Peyton or her family (which I guess isn’t required) but they also really lean heavily into sympathizing with Morgan and Anissa’s family.

I personally like this. I think this is a good topic because it is *related* to creepy pastas. A lot of comments on here are acting like y'all plucked a random true crime story while this directly correlates to something y'all have covered in the past. Plus, this sort of content isn't much different from content you would both do on your own channels. Have any of the people complaining paid an iota of attention to your individual work in the past? The only real reason that I could see this being an issue is if some of the side tangents were too mocking or mean, and I didn't really see that here. To the haters: don't like it? Don't watch it. Not everything is going to be cherry-picked for your exact tastes. The team both on camera and off bust their asses to make cool shit. Put your big boy pants on and take a hike.

Don't know if anyone is in here anymore but creepcast patreon needs a chat section not just under the videos ..anyways looking for a story they read about a man in the desert riding a horse the horse dies as they come upon some giant monoliths but it turns out to be a creature that eats him. Is this real or my imagination?

Z
Zander · June 4, 2026

Finally got around to listening to this one and I'm just kinda put off. If you want to have a true crime episode that's fine cover the crime, but it feels kinda gross to turn it into a dramatized story reading for viewer entertainment.

P
Piggy5990 · June 4, 2026

I have to say, seeing a reading of a real crime was a bit off-putting at first but after listening to it I don't think there's really anything wrong with it. I understand why some people aren't interested in this kind of thing but I think it's more just a difference of preference to a certain type of story rather than any actual issue of quality. These are the same guys that read both Penpal and Happy Appy. I think you guys should keep doing whatever you want to do and as long as you're reading something and bantering many of us will be happy to listen.

A
Average Jacobi Lover (HIPAA violator) · June 3, 2026

Respectfully, I hope we don't get more true crime stories. There is an overabundance of true crime podcasts out there that cover exactly that, and creepcast offers a breath of fresh air with the silly banter and back and fourth stories while being able to get back on track with something I've never heard before. I understand the want to try something new, but what you guys have been doing has, in my opinion, been great (except for the absolute ass stories but that isn't either of your fault lol). Preferably this will just be a one off and we will get back to scary stories and banter next week

I liked the coverage and you did a good job with such a serious real world topic. However for some constructive criticism I’d say it would be a good idea to change some of the sound effects if possible but definitely the background music. It’s a little weird to hear about such a disturbing real world crime while the music that serenaded the birth of FaMbUgEr and Wendiblum plays on in the background. Keep it up though! Interesting to hear the story in this level of detail.

A
Akeanu · June 3, 2026

It’s bizarre to me that so many comments are about this community being whiny, when writing a comment like that is being even more so. Criticism of a podcast isn’t an indictment against one’s character, you don’t need to die on the front lines defending a bad decision. The point of a patreon is priority access, and a more direct line for feedback should they ever need it. Letting them know that something might be in poor taste is exactly the kind of thing this is here for. If you don’t see anything wrong with it, that’s up to your discretion, but it would be exceedingly stupid to die on the hill of trying to convince others that how they feel/interpret things is wrong

A
Akeanu · June 3, 2026

yeah this felt gross. i appreciate the attempt at branching out, but it feels like a bad fit for the “reading crappy old internet horror stories” podcast. CreepCast is at it’s best when it’s just these two goofing off, and this isn’t a style that lends itself well to that

I don't know why so many people hate this, it's a nice little treat. Like Isaiah's juicy lips. 👄

R
RatDADDY · June 3, 2026

The victim Payton is now a therapist, the incident inspired her to move in this direction and its great that she survived. Its a shame that the two girls essentially ruined their lives, generally psychotic mental disorders never get taken seriously until the person does something seriously dangerous to themselves or others and its a shame the first thing she did to be taken seriously was attempted murder. She could have been saved. It was definitely a different style of story, and while i prefer the fictional stories i think this story was great and done in good taste. Considering payton survived I dont think it is really offensive to anyone, this incident is a massive mark on the history of creepypastas, i remember the severe impact it had on media and creepypasta at the time. I was 12 when it all happened and i remember how much scarier and real it made creepypastas. Good video.

It feels wrong to incorporate real crime into a podcast that focuses on scary stories. I personally find true crime exploitative, even though I thought the episode was fine. It's harder to riff and go on tangents, or even laugh, when you're talking about the actual mutilation of a real child.

Just putting in my vote that I would rather they stick to fiction as that’s what I was expecting when I began paying for this. Do not be offended if you don’t share opinion, I’m not telling them what they can and can’t do and I’m fully aware that I can unsubscribe. I will if I’m no longer enjoying the show after a bit of time but having a negative opinion of a single episode that is vastly different from the usual creepcast does not mean I’m obligated to immediately right off my support for some of my favourite creators. Settle down and let people share they’re opinions and let meat mom and goon dad make they’re own decision based that feedback and their own feelings.

It's just kind of a lot of tonal whiplash. Especially when the real events are summarized and written in a way that's supposed to read as a story, even going so far as to voice act the quotes of real people. This is their first time trying something new, and while it might not be a horror story and instead a true crime made into a story format, and people are acting like this is a common problem they have. They're trying something new, I'm sure they want the feedback saying people don't like it, but I think people saying that they're rebranding or shifting their focus completely is uncalled for. When this happened I had just given birth to my first child, and I after seeing it and feeling awful for the girl injured, and the other kids mental state and knowing the mental illness history etc, I immediately thought I hope they don't condemn creepy pasta cause I enjoyed them so much as a teen/young adult. I don't mean to sound disrespectful to the individuals involved either I just remember enjoying them, and thinking it would be awful for others that came after me to not get the same experience and pleasure of reading these. I get the point of all of us coming here, we laugh and take the most unserious opinions, and understandings to things. But in my opinion before borrasca got close to real at the end there was so many times where many laughs happened. I can understand the want to escape real life, but no matter what we do real life is in there somewhere. Borrasca with trafficking and baby farming, left right game, has a lot to do with a father who made a heinous mistake based off an obsession only to find his future was already set in stone, pen pal and the absolute horrifying realness of childhood predators and the sickness of a mind. Not to mention the trauma. 1999- again with predators, and witnessing a person find out the reality about a childhood show that they couldn't fathom when they were six to eight years old. Think of nickoledeon and Disney and all the things that have came out about them, surrounding so many shows we loved as children. I feel like the nuances are always there and just because we choose not to see them in the other stories doesn't mean they aren't real. It's just my take. Don't come for me. lol. I enjoyed this episode and felt like it was a respect paid to the real thing that happened and how a creepy pasta story was tied into the real realities of mental illness, sickness, and learning disabilities that make us all as parents realize that sometimes we should pay attention a bit more because it might not just be a phase.

For their conversation on schizophrenia, my wife has schizophrenia. Audible and visual hallucinations. When we first got together they were REALLY bad, to the point she would describe them hurting her physically by like digging into her and biting her and shit. Some super scary stuff. She's a lot better now, very rarely has episodes and when she does it's primarily just hearing voices screaming. She's a way stronger person than me I can tell ya that.

P
PapaMeatsgrandad · June 1, 2026

It's kinda funny. My wife had her own "it." Except for her, it's "him." And then theres this weird thing she can tell when someone else is schizophrenic. She just gets a bad feeling and every time she gets into a bad episode, even if they don't interact. Anytime she's met anyone that she's had this feeling about she's been 100% correct every single time. It's really weird actually.

it’s like this it was a interesting yet incredibly grotesque case and they did try with the source material they found but with myself and others the podcast is an escape from real life with the fantasy of the stories and when it got to the part of the actual wounds it was deeply unnerving, yet it was a real life case you should feel fucked about something like that but the podcast is escapism from that type of source material that’s Atleast my argument with it

I think that there is an audience for comedy, true crime, and riffing off of that. Plenty of popular podcasts out there use this format. I like true crime, but turning this into a "story" was a bit weird. It disconnects the actions from the real people effected by this. I think this could work but not in this format. L

J
Jack Sin · June 1, 2026

The hardest thing about this story is that I knew kids that would do all the exact things that should have tipped adults off. There was a kid that would carry a screwdriver in their waistband to school, or kids that would draw all the slenderman drawings or other “scary” sketchings, and even kids who talked about seeing ghosts constantly. None of those people led to any stabbing, and you never knew quite exactly how you were supposed to deal with these problems either.

I feel like on every thread people are always unhappy whether the episode isn’t long enough, they talk too much about the stories, or the stories aren’t good etc. I liked it and maybe could be more serious and just special episodes. pete mobley · June 1, 2026

To maybe offset all the negative, I enjoyed this one. Knowing that the events actually happened as read was more jarring and upsetting than any creepy pasta has ever been. Didn’t detract from the tragedy at all for me, in fact it shed some light on mental health, parenting, friendships, and overcoming trauma. And the humor they used is exactly the kind I would use when talking about something like this. They didn’t make fun of the victim and didn’t make fun of the perpetrators in such a way to dehumanize them. Papa and Wendi, ya done good on this one.

Very parasocial in this comment section lol. This is not your channel, just because you pay a small subscription to get bonus content and added benefits does not mean you’re part of the crew or generally have any say in what they do, especially for weekly episodes that are not Patreon exclusive. After 3 years strong of creepcast growing into what it is we should be happy they aren’t super burnt out of this, especially the fact they have ungrateful whiners as a fanbase who will turn and complain and call episodes “yucky” (super millennial coded and childish to call things “yucky” btw) when it isn’t the exact story or content they want. We get weekly episodes plus bonus content frequently on top of their respective solo content, be a little more appreciative of how much we already get and that they are trying to venture into other topics and formats to keep the show fresh instead of whining and complaining that you didn’t get the exact episode you wanted this week. Anywhoodle Happy Monday my cast has been creeped as always

I'm not the biggest fan of True Crime personally so this might just be my bias here, but I also think that CreepCast might not be the best place to cover things like this as a main talking point. Maybe it's just because everyone involved are still alive and have tried to move on from what happened to them/the heinous actions they committed but it just feels like it's bad taste. And this is nothing against Isaiah or Hunter, I think they did their best to make light while still keeping on track here but it just feels off to me personally with the voices Hunter does or the tangents, etc. Even Isaiah mentions that this is skirting the line a bit. We have people like the Lore Lodge (who sometimes makes off-hand remarks but stays tasteful) and MissingEnigma (who is very serious about what they cover), both covering true crime - and sometimes helping solve them - the tone is always a lot more serious, sometimes documentary level which I appreciate. Maybe if it were an older case this wouldn't have given me the weird vibes but at the same time with the anniversary and recently finishing Marble Hornets and how the duo's dynamic played into recent events I totally get why this would be a story to talk about. Just my opinion that no one asked for lol.

I love you guys, and I want to be clear that I'm not trying to ascribe any malice or ill-intent here, but as someone who lives and works in this area, it didn't feel great that you were repeatedly pronouncing things (specifically Waukesha) wrong, and that you kept a lot of your production choices very similar to your fictional videos. I know this seems like a crazy story that happened a long time ago for a lot of people, but Waukesha has been the site of two awful events that have become catnip for the true crime community (this and the Waukesha Parade Tragedy). Both are still very much affecting the community and the people related to the cases who still live here. Similarly, Milwaukee still deals with people who salivate over Dahmer, and many of his victims' families still live in Milwaukee and the surrounding burbs and struggle with the way the case is treated, so SE Wisconsin has a rough history with our tragedies being relayed as spooky stories on the internet. I just think it would have gone a long way to make sure you were pronouncing things correctly. You can check the Wikipedia article for "Waukesha" for a clip of someone saying it, or you could have even watched some news clips about the case to ensure you were doing so. As someone who lives in the area, I also think the usual creepy background music you guys use felt off, as well as the way you essentially wrote it as a story. While I appreciate that you guys were trying something new, and you were WAY more respectful than most people who discuss this case, I think making the writing/production so similar to your usual creepypasta videos felt jarring.

J
JAYWHYTEE · June 1, 2026

Wow I didn’t know so many people were against this video. It seems like they wanted a break from the mediocre horror and boring gag stories and wanted to cover something CREEPY for once. I personally liked this video. They told us in the beginning of starting this, that Patreon would be a place for branching out and doing things that are not just creepypastas. They do short stories constantly and will undoubtedly give another one soon, I’m not worried. Besides, the boys deserve to have some liberty with their content. It’s not all about us, I would rather them make videos they are interested in so they get to enjoy as well. They can easily get burned out and bored of repetitive content and need a break now and then. I don't get some of the criticism here. I enjoyed it but I guess I'm just one against 1000 who didn't. It shouldn't matter if this was a real life event. A lot of creepypastas out there have the potential to be real life events and you wouldn't know if they were. The fact that it actually happened makes it even scarier. I found the format to be creative. Instead of just reading off boring walls of information it was changed to fit more in line with creepypastas.

Aside from this episode, for this month alone, we have gotten about 10 hours of stories. For the price of less than one hour of work for the average minimum wage worker. And people still whine and complain. It's related to the CreepyPasta. I've seen other people cover this topic but the story type of telling of it was a new take. Enjoyed that. And this does not seem like it'll be a regular occurance. Not many famous Creepypastas that are linked to IRL crimes. That girl is an actual angel on Earth. I don't think I'd ever be able to forgive someone that did that to me and have that positive of a spin on the entire situation.

I'm not saying they should continue doing true crime stories if other fans don't like it, but I think it's important to display real life horror to expound on why the tropes in fiction are actually scary. If they did another episode like this, I think a topic of interest could be the Case of the Manson family. Or, another thing that can display real horror is survivor stories, like people stranded or lost in the wild, something like 127 Hours, based on real events.

T
Turnk Brownie · June 1, 2026

I get why they covered this and the content was good, but I already know about this story from red thread. It just kinda feels like recycled content. Yall made it fun but I fell like this story was out of place on this podcast. Not dogging you at all, but this came out of left field. Still a classic episode for jokes.

S
Sydney Arnold · June 1, 2026

I appreciate trying new things but I agree that this was not the venue for this story. Also the “creepypastafication” of a real life event felt very icky imo. Not against the boys doing true crime, but I feel like maybe Isaiah’s channel is a better venue and format for this sort of thing.

T

with all due respect as a long time watcher, i really don't want to hear true crime here. i go elsewhere, or i even listen to isaiah's main channel for real stories. i got 10 minutes in, and i just can't really shake that this is a real story being made into a...piece? idk how to explain it. i love you guys so damn much and i'm not trying to spread hate or be disrespectful at all. i feel like other "true stories" turned into movies and what not are more digestible because it's not true crime, just ghost stories that no one has 100% proof of. this is a deeply saddening story, even if the ending is truly motivating and heroic. if you guys continue to do these, i'll most likely just skip these episodes...not that my 1 view really matters, but yeah. AGAIN, this is no hate or disrespect. you two are my favorite creators of all time and creepcast is near and dear to me! i will always support you guys. i just love to come here on monday mornings to laugh and listen to creative story telling. there's a reason i stopped consuming so much true crime content. :(

Despite the dislike of this subject in the comments, this does actually seem like a video that you two should have just dual posted on the papa meat and wendigang channel, it seems more fitting. I do enjoy this though, a harsh subject made comedy is great. Idk why people have a problem with this

D
DeathsDoor04 · June 1, 2026

Everyone complaining is lowkey wrong tbh. Obviously what happened wasn't funny but so are some of the other topics the two have covered on their other channels (some of them being more serious, yet they make more jokes than they do in this episode). "Then they should make this video on those channels then!" The whole point of this is that it's a story related to SLENDERMAN the CREEPYPASTA on CREEPCAST. Like everything the guys do on here other than what they do every week is hated on and booed. This is going to grow stale and they are going to gain resentment for us if yall continue this trend. Let them experiment and run THEIR CHANNEL the way they want to. Overall good episode, I thought the idea of covering the slender man case was very interesting and you guys told the story pretty well.

Isaiah's story about playing Jeff the killer at a sleepover gave me flashbacks to the time I played unravel by tk lingure at a bonfire (the intro song for season one of the anime Tokyo Ghoul). For context I was a bit more of an "emo" kid I guess, and these were a group of my more regular friends and everyone just kind of looked at me and someone asked me something like "what the fuck is this?" And at the time I thought i was so cold being brooding and playing this song on some "people just don't understand me". And now I just about kill myself out of cringe everytime I remember. Just had to get this out there. God what the fuck was high school man.

K
Kyle Snyder · June 1, 2026

Did people even listen to the beginning of the video? The only reason they are covering this is because of it such an infamous case attached to a creepypasta. So far through listening to this, I haven't heard them say one thing about covering other true crime. On another note, I can 100% see Allison as a horse girl.

D
Dillion Roy · June 1, 2026

I can understand the interest in covering a case directly relating to online horror media. While I still enjoyed this episode, I believe the only aspect keeping this from falling off the "guardrail" as Lips put it, is that the victim survived and is doing well. There were funny moments in the episode, but it felt wrong to enjoy them. Ultimately I think the problems I have are with the true crime genre, not with the host. While the concept of creepypasta crimes is intriguing I don't know if the often comedy spattered 'CreepCast' is the right setting. If true crimes became a mainstay it might be necessary to brand it clearly as a separate series, whether on or off the primary channel.

I wasn’t sure on this like lots of people here but after listening, I really enjoyed it. (I had heard about this before but a more in-depth take on it was interesting). I do see what people say about true crime being an over-saturated and exploitative genre, and while I wouldn’t want creepcast to become a true crime podcast, I feel this episode is close enough to the original ethos and theme (they’ve talked about marble hornets and creepy pastas in the early days of the internet, it’s what started the podcast). Long comment but I enjoyed the ep, thought it fitted creepcast and also felt unlike a lot of true crime it wasn’t exploitative or pure sensationalism! It might pay to have creep crime episodes focus on the theme of creepy pastas and their real-world impact.

M
MaliciousMustardly · June 1, 2026

I dont usually leave a comment though I hope due to this being on a paid service id be given some sort of platform or sway much like my fellow patrons. To put it simply: I don't like this. Not for the reasons that some, I'm not upset with the idea of true crime, nor do I think that its the sort of thing I may have avoided had i found this on YouTube and randomly decided to watch it. It's good content! (Though, that is sort of the crux of why so many people don't really like true crime; at the end of the day its content.) But its not the content that most viewers are looking for with *Creepcast*. I've seen many commentors point out that both of the boys make true crime content on their main channels but I feel like that gives all the more reason for this being collab content on one of their respective channels instead of on Creepcast. The format simply does not lend itself to respectful and informative coverage on true crime, and when many are looking for silly jokes and light banter just to be hit in the face with a harrowing story of survival, it makes me wonder why this was even uploaded on Crepcast to begin with. I remember once (in my nearly three years of watching this show) that there was a similar issue, Creepcast is historically given to changing up its style to the shegrin of its fans. The Ligotti episode comes to mind, but also in the middling views of CreepTV in comparison to its mainline counterparts. There is a lot to be said about how this fanbase rejects new things but I personally don't believe this is one of those cases, at least not entirely. I love the work done on this channel, and I love tuning in each and every Sunday waiting for a new episode. I will continue to do that as we go forward, but I really hope that this is either a one time experiment like the Ligotti episode, or, even better; a collaboration series between the boys on one of their channels.

Hobbsey · June 1, 2026

Hi guys, long time viewer and long time patron. I love this show to death, but I can't help but feel like this episode is in poor taste. A big reason this show appeals to me and many others is because we get to appreciate good horror stories, and between those moments we get a lot of fun riffing, bits, etcetera. It's a horror/comedy podcast. The barrier of fiction is what really makes this work. We get to laugh at episodes like Tommy Taffy, Borrasca, and so on because they're all just fictional creepypastas. The Slenderman stabbing might be creepypasta adjacent, but it is not a creepypasta. It's a very real, horrible crime that nearly resulted in the death of a little girl. It doesn't sit right with a lot of us to have a lot of riffing and tangents when the subject matter doesn't have that barrier of fiction. Especially considering how the whole story was reformatted into a creepypasta-like structure. That barrier is what allows the horror and the comedy of this podcast to be simultaneously enjoyed. But the removal of the barrier makes these things grind together in a bad way. The jokes and bits take away from the subject matter, and the subject matter takes away from the jokes and bits. I totally get wanting to try something different, but I don't think this podcast is the right environment for this subject. No hate, I still love this podcast, and I'm still gonna be a supporter. Just wanted to leave some feedback, because it seems like this episode rubbed me and a lot of other viewers the wrong way.

I'll give this episode a shot but right out the gate I do not like this. There should be a clear division between creepy/spooky/horror fiction and real life tragedy. I love you guys as a duo and seperately, and this feels a lot like it would be better on Wendigoon's channel. You have developed an atmosphere of jokes and humor, trying to branch into True Crime content is NOT it. This feels disrespectful to the victim, even if she did ultimately survive the ordeal. Adding to clarify that if this had been a fictional story inspired by real events, that'd be more in-line with what the show covers. Turning a real girl and a real series of events into a story to pick apart the same way they do works of fiction is what feels weird.

These comments are a good example of why people get creatively burnt out and call it on projects like this. Making people a prisoner to their format and being overtly negative when they try to mix it up a bit will suck any enthusiasm the creators have until it becomes unenjoyable for them and therefore us. Telling people what their creation is and isn't for is whack. They have been trying new stuff a decent bit lately which shows that maybe they are just really looking for a change of pace. Let people experiment and stretch their legs or get ready for this show to be over in the near future.

But I do agree with other commenters on going over the several stories people have posted by different authors etc. that way both us fans have a bit of different and so does the hosts! I’m sure the same thing all the time gets a bit boring. Like tbhhh I also enjoyed the creep tv a lot too!

creep cast fans try not to be insufferable or complain about the episode (impossible difficulty)

K
K · June 1, 2026

I liked the episode and get why you guys covered this story. I do agree with some people that it's probably not a good idea to cover true crime. There are a lot of true crime channels that sensationalize tragedies and are distasteful in how they talk about it. I dont feel like you all did that but I think people want to watch you guys because it's a break from all these things. However, I'm here for whatever you guys decide to do! Always happy when Sunday comes around.

Looking through the comments and realizing people just start criticizing without actually watching first. Yall got to calm down. Its truly insufferable behavior.

C
Cactus · June 1, 2026

I appreciate them trying something new but I would rather them read novels or something else to freshen things up. True crime already is covered by a million other channels. we’re missing actual good stories recently. I want another borrasca I-IV, stolen tounges, left right game etc. there’s no way there are not other good stories/ novels they can read to make things interesting. Appreciate the attempt but this story is so old and I don’t want true crime in this format. Also the comparisons to the red thread are way too close.

E
Eepy Hime · June 1, 2026

I’d kind of prefer to see you guys get into the games and offshoots of creepy pastas instead, but that’s just me lol. Like, a lot of communities online have made some really cool and creative stuff and I’d love to see the that shown here rather than true crime if you want something new or different. Idk, just a thought. But at the end of the day, it’s y’all’s podcast.

Hey guys, I think you would really like the Novel Tender Is The Flesh by Augustina Bazterrica. It's not very long and since yall have been doing longer vids, maybe it may fit in. It's a crazy read and I think you'd like it. I read it when looking for more authors of color. I will keep commenting this everywhere until you acknowledge it!

Good God. I moved to Sun Prairie 2 years ago from Michigan. I didn't know that crazy girl almost got placed there. Sure Flint has led in the water but there is definitely something in the water over here in Wisconsin. There has been a new crazy murderer over here like every 30 years since Ed Gein. Lol

I feel like people are being dramatic and acting like they said this was the new format of the show when they were obviously just trying something out. "Don't become a true crime podcast" yeah that was never the plan

F
Frokadeli · May 31, 2026

I love the podcast and I love them just yapping but this episode just felt weird or should’ve been a bonus. Like I get that you will eventually run out of stories to read but what’s the point of creating a place for people to create such amazing stories that we barely get to hear them

C
Confused In the water · May 31, 2026

I think everyone forgot that the original ads for the channel described it as being a covering of all things macabre. whether that be fictional stories, movies, videos, or even irl stuff. I don't think this was disrespectful in the slightest. they maintained a general serious tone but were still respectfully playful. If we really want to get into the semantics of story contents, then by that train of logic Wendigoon and PapaMeat should've gotten in trouble for the ACTUAL murders they've covered on their channels. you can't decide something is suddenly poor taste just because the persons discussing it aren't in what you perceive to be the right room (granted, they probably could've hashed out the format a little better. but once again, at no point did it feel like it was taking from the severity of the events). I personally enjoy that they're branching out with different avenues of discussion. I thought more people would've have wanted more than just another creepypasta storytime channel. Clearly, I was wrong...

Z
ZombieWolf2508 · May 31, 2026

tbf, even if that's how it was originally pitched, that's not been the shows identity for a long time. it's a podcast where they read goofy creepypastas and spooky stories. the audience they've built come here expecting just that, not true crime. They've never covered true crime before as a part of the show and starting now just feels weird. a lot of people probably listen to this podcast to escape real-world stuff, not hear more about it. That being said, I have no problem with them covering true crime on their own channels or even as a separate series on here *despite how stupidly over-saturated true crime is.*

C

J

T
That One Dude · May 31, 2026

I don’t really think we need another true crime style show here. Like if you want to switch it up there’s creepTV to break up reading stories or like horror movie breakdowns or even vlog stuff like the mummy vid. I feel like the guys have there own channels for this kinda vibe, kinda sucks this is this weeks episode. Just my thoughts.

If i wanted to listen to true crime i would go listen to one of the million other true crime podcasts out there. I like this show because you guys can riff and review stories narratively and i value your critique. I like hearing about new or unheard of authors and giving them the spotlight. Creepcast is not a true crime podcast. Please don’t do this again or if you want to start another channel or something.

I love creepcast but I don’t think this was the move. I understand if you guys wanted to talk about this case because the anniversary is coming up and it’s related to a popular creepypasta, but the way it was executed wasn’t the best. Reading it like it was a story you guys got off of creepypasta doesn’t feel right. It feels the same as when true crime channels do a mukbang or their makeup while talking about actual crimes. It just feels disrespectful.

M

M
MaggaroniCheese · May 31, 2026

I respect the fact that they’re trying to expand the options on what can be a part of CreepCast, (maybe to avoid burnout) but at the same time, they’ve built such an awesome rhythm with their own Creep Subreddit and encouragement of creativity from us as viewers. Overall this just feels a bit out of place, and I almost felt that I couldn’t enjoy the comedic moments because of the actual tragedy that took place. I think that Hunter and Isiah respectively can have quips on their own channels that are entertaining about real life events, but together on this specific channel it just comes off wrong. I want to be able to enjoy a story and their comedic commentary without having to morally analyze what’s being talked about, at least beyond what an author is wanting us to pick up. Love Creeping my Cast but this is not the move for this channel! :)

M
Moke · May 31, 2026

I honestly thought this episode was fine, even if parts of it were a little unsavory. Fiction just fits this kind of content so much better. I’d much rather watch Isaiah goon over a well structured sentence than sit through the boys reading about some real life horrific tragedy and just end up feeling bummed out the whole time.

As someone who lives next door to this story, it felt very off putting for a comedy/dramatic podcast to cover this story that hit our community so hard. Also, it's Wah-Kah-Shaw, not that hard to watch a newscast to hear them saying it right; a little petty note, but shows that not a ton of research actually went into this.

J
Jenny · June 1, 2026

Yeah, I'm also in the area and I'll admit that it felt a bit disrespectful that they couldn't even google how to pronounce it properly. I think Waukesha just has really bad luck with tragedies (like the parade and this) being used for internet content fodder.
