I wouldn't say it's the grandfather's death that is hitting him hard, but the not knowing if his mom mercy-killed him or murdered him and his decision not to investigate and actively use it as an excuse to drink which is where his moral degradation begins.
This episode is a shit show and it might be my new favorite. I've been laughing for like a solid half hour. Amazing work, boys.

I like how the intro about people’s typical BS stories was foreshadowing for the author’s encounters: seeing an old lady, seeing a grandpa, and seeing a hitchhiker. The author’s ghosts end up being even worse versions of typical ghost encounters.
While that wasn't my intent, that's such a good pull. To try and expound on it: The old woman is the girl in bed and while she's young, her clothes denote her as being from a time before the protagonist. tThe grandfather asking about the kids whose relationship he's already irreparably damaged, and the phantom hitchhiker being the body he hit on the road. Also, I'm sorry if this sounds crazy, but are you the same PsychWorm that I commented on in the youtube comments of "IB, IB, IB"? Regardless, thanks for giving me more credit than I deserve.

For the first time ever, and I dont know exactly why, a hunter bit is actually really getting under my skin. If he ever eats during a recording again, he should be blood eagled. I like a goof here and there, but it is impossible to get into the second half of the story when you don't go 3 seconds without hearing "mmh" or a taco bell wrapper being intentionally molested. It's like the Papa Meat food ranking videos have made him retarded, and he can't comprehend that this isn't one of those. I guess part of it is that they have been talking up this haunted house episode for weeks like it's going to be great, and the story is the LEAST relevant thing in the entire video. The haunted house should've just been a papa meat video or something, and then just an actual, listenable, normal seperate episode for the weekly release.

Great idea reading in a supposedly haunted location, adds a lot to the atmosphere! I had a thought about that : I usually love the animations running while telling the story, but it might be a missed opportunity to just leave the camera rolling and maybe show some more angles of the different rooms inside the house, while you are there. I love goofy ghost haunting shows, even though I personally don't believe in spooks. I think a big part of your audience might also enjoy them and part of the fun is looking out for things moving/happening while believing or not believing. Please repeat this format in the future and maybe give the place itself a spotlight while reading, so people can hope for a "real" ghost appearance - or at least a gust of wind to be interpreted as one. Maybe I'm completely off, but that thought crossed my mind.
