Patch Notes - July 10, 2026

New Stuff

Downhill race event kicks off every other hour in the multiplayer server
It mimics IRL DH racing
A trail vote opens up shortly before each event kicks off
Everyone gets 15 minutes to set their best qualifying time
Players are then put in reverse order for finals. ONE RUN ONLY!
Best run wins!
New spectate mode for finals so you can watch other players' runs. Watch from a drone cam or orbit riders in third person, and cycle between racers
Players who join the event are automatically placed into a private voice chat room (if they have voice chat turned on)

Tap the clock to pause the day/night cycle, or hold it to wind the sun forward and back. You can also use L3 to forward time on controller.

New ski jump POI in Lakeside zone
New lighthouse landmark in the open world, with a rotating light synced to the time of day

Bunch of new SFX from our sound designer Pauli. These are still a WIP, but it's coming along nicely.
Per-surface rolling and bump sounds for gravel, rock, wood, and dirt
Reworked skid sounds so they track how hard you're actually sliding (the sound itself still needs tweaking though)
The sky and lighting got a glow-up. New skybox, warmer day/night colors, a brighter forest, post-processing tweaks, and new cliffs in Zone 1

Fixed the mic icon not showing at higher resolutions, and stopped it strobing during speech
Smoother remote riders with less jitter when riding near or spectating other players. Still needs work, but it's better.
Fixed glitchy audio at high speed
Fixed the wrong surface sound briefly playing right after you land
Fixed the FPS cap setting not sticking
Fixed the rider's ragdoll pants
