Monday Update - June 22, 2026
Yo! Hope you all had a killer weekend, and a happy belated Father's Day to the dads out there.
If you're new here, the Monday Update is where we give you a rundown of everything we plan to work on this coming week. It is NOT an actual update to the game.
Here's what's going on.
General Updates
No new build this week. We decided to hold off rather than rush one out and risk shipping bugs. If something critical comes up we'll do a quick patch, but otherwise we're keeping our heads down.
The big picture: from now through October, the whole focus is finishing the first zone of the game and making it a complete, polished slice. That first zone is what we'll be showing at Steam Next Fest and what leads into the Early Access launch. This includes redoing the tutorial, challenges, adding POIs, easter eggs, etc.
We just crossed 800 active paid members, and it's been climbing steadily since the playtest. Thank you all so much!
Here's what we're focusing on this week.
Hodge
Setting up the rider IK system, which is what makes the rider's body move and line up naturally on the bike. It's also the foundation for customization.
Getting the rider base body ready for customization.
Looking into the best way to link game accounts with Patreon for the collab items.
Maggie
Exporting the male rider base body so it matches the female one.
Spending the next couple of weeks on environment work, more ski lifts, plus lighting and other vegetation.
Joe
Designing the new HUD.
After the HUD, I'll move on to the challenge menu.
Plan is to try to get the UI redesign finished before Whistler at the end of July.
Damien
Building out the first zone, modeling and placing the lighthouse and cliffside, and the bridge, if there's time.
Helping map out the biome layout across the world.
After the lighthouse and cliffside, Damien will move on to a bunch of other POIs in zone 1, which will make the environment feel more alive.
Andreas
Finishing the high-poly model and textures for a new pair of rider gloves.
Julian
Cleaning up and improving the social media pages.
Working on ways to increase Patreon retention.
The usual social posts.
That's the plan for this week. No big feature drop this time, just heads-down on the first zone, new UI, new rider IK system, and more!
