Tuesday Update - May 26, 2026
Yo! We're a day late because of Memorial Day. Hope everyone had a nice long weekend (in the US at least).
We're coming off a strong playtest run — six builds in six weeks — and now we're shifting gears. The playtest is wrapping up today, and we're turning our focus toward some big-picture stuff: rider customization, UI overhaul, modding support, prox chat, and environment art. No new build this week, but there's a ton happening behind the scenes. Here's what we are focusing on this week.
Michael
Porting the modding tools over to the current build and fixing issues with lighting, skyboxes, and a pink texture bug on mismatched platforms.
Setting up the foundation for our new UI system using Unity's UI Toolkit. This will make it way easier to build out menus and screens going forward.
Joe
Complete redesign of the game UI. I'm starting with some design mocks first. I'll implement them in Unity once they are all ready.
Here are a couple of previews of the Main Menu and Settings Menu.
Adding trails to the map and setting up racing on a bunch of new trails.
Maggie
Starting work on the rider customization system.
Environment art assets.
Damien
Finishing up vegetation assets — grass and ground plants — and distributing them to the rest of the team so we can start filling out the world.
Cedric
We're up to 55 trails now! He's continuing to finish out the current open-world map.
Julian
Back on daily community management — catching up on comments and DMs that have piled up.
Planning content around the playtest wrap-up and what's coming next.
Bryan
Continuing international outreach, focusing on France and Ireland.
That's all for this week! If you want to continue playing after the playtest ends, consider becoming a paid Patreon member for full access. Have a great week!

I'm so happy to hear y'all are working on proximity chat! That's going to make multiplayer so good!
Should be in the next update. Already got it working. Just need to add some settings.
