The Rat King Prints well! Also the Swarm of Zombie Limbs & Darklord Ivan Dilisnya!
Hello friends! The winner of last month's contest was the Rat King that I modeled last week. I'm happy to say it printed well! Gave it a nice paint job and its now ready to go. I'm not the greatest painter but I think its ok at least.
As for new spooky models today I worked on:
Swarm of Zombie Limbs - this was a wild model to work on today lol. This is one of those rare instances where FDM folks will actually have it easier than resin folks lol. Given fingers don't show up in FDM usually, you can just print as is and anything that doesn't make it can be written off as broke limb cuz zombie lol. But as for resin folks I did angle the fingers pointed mostly upward so you don't have to deal with too much support removal.
Darklord Ivan Dilisnya - Here is the other creepy Darklord of Borca, who represents the essence of childish cruelty. Even though his body is decrepit and elderly he maintains the mentality of a cruel and vicious child. He can create any automaton at will, thus his home is full of nightmarish toys. This was a nice mix of sculpting and modeling work. Making his blanket was actually the hardest part to take on haha. For FDM printing, like most spiders, you should print this guy separate from the large creature size marker stand and print it with the legs pointed somewhat upward. Resin users get the usual presupported files. Once printed glue him onto the size marker and you're set :)

More to come tomorrow! Spooky month is going strong!

There are so many reasons I would never want to become a zombie but the idea of being stuck with this little personal space while everyone is making MOUTH SOUNDS is one I never thought to add to the list.
Lol true
