The Roc!
Hello again friends! Today I have for you the Roc from the new Monster Manual! This was an excellent sculpting and rigging project! All those feathers were a real pain but I know it pays off in the long run. I went for a standard flying pose as that's the easiest pose to be printed, but as its rigged up if you wanted to make different poses its all there for you.
This is a gigantic creature, so big it is known to carry off elephants. To make printing easier I split off the wings and tail. The best angle to print this in FDM is to actually print the body with the beak pointed downward that way you don't have to deal with the head feathers and supports for them. However printing the body will come out fine if you don't mind some support removal in those areas and on the toes.
For the wings you'll have an easier time printing them as flat as possible but with the feathers pointed upward would be easier to manage too. For resin folks I supplied the usual presupported and hollowed files. Only the largest of resin printers can handle this beast though.
More to come tomorrow! Enjoy!

What? No Dwayne "The Rock" Roc meme? smh
Lol darn
Beautiful work! Is there any way you could do a second version of it standing on a rocky outcrop (or however you'd like). Many times when they are sighted, they are near their nests. Either way, this one looks great! Thanks :)
The DETAIL!!! I will be printing this the second my printer's free
Thanks! Post pics in the Discord :)
