The Ancient Time Dragon!

Hello friends! Today I worked on requests and made the Ancient Time Dragon from the Planescape setting! This was an excellent mix of sculpting and modeling work. This is a rather large model so I split it up for easier printing in FDM. The pieces are oriented for easier printing too. The face tentacles are obviously very thin and could be a challenge when you are removing supports. I recommend blocking them of supports and letting them print as is given they are pointing upward roughly and don't really need supports. But if you want to use them anyway just to ensure they print right use flush snips when removing them. I did include stls for the the tentacles as is in case they break off and you can just glue those on.

The tail is long and thick enough that it should be able to hold up the whole model as is. But I included a flying creature size marker as extra support just in case. This model is fully rigged up so if I get to the Planescape book and need the other ages it shouldn't be too hard to make them from this base model. Also I made a new folder for Planescape in the drive. The files are attached here as well.

My take on the Time Dragon is unofficial Fan Content permitted under the Fan Content Policy. Not approved/endorsed by Wizards. Portions of the materials used are property of Wizards of the Coast. ©Wizards of the Coast LLC.

I'm working on other requests today but they won't be ready until tomorrow. I hope you guys like this one! Take care and thanks again for your continued support :)

Very cool! Did you happen to get inspired by the most recent Dungeon Dad monster of the week, or is this just pure serendipity?

Nope this is just by chance that a patron two years ago asked for this haha

For FDM printing folk (Bambu Labs A1) do you all print the presupported resin versions or do you use tree supports? I really want to print one of these big dragons

m
mz4250 · August 27, 2026

presupported files are only for resin users.
