The New Bladesinger prints well! Also the Phase Spider, Piercer and Pirates! YARRR!!
Hello friends! I'm happy to report that my new Bladesinger prints very well! This was the reward for the patron who won the 3D printing contest last month. I'm not the best mini painter but I think he came out ok. Please be kind haha.
Today also I worked on some simple projects from the new Monster Manual. I made:
Phase Spider - so the original from 2014 actually wasn't too far off from the new one. It just needed some extra work on the legs and thorax. But once that was done I made three different variants that way you can throw some tabletop variety on the game given these usually attack in groups. For FDM printing I recommend printing these upside down with the legs pointed up. I made sure to separate the stand from this as spiders are much easier to print as is and upside down. You can just glue on the stand later if you even want one.
Piercer - this was a rather simple sculpting project given they're just stalactites with a creepy face haha. I started by making a stalactite that way you have a hiding version. Then I sculpted on the face for the revealed one. I wish there was some way of making a system where these can actually hang from a ceiling in your game, but for tabletop gaming that's not actually practical given the players won't be able to see what's going on lol. But hey, maybe someone with a more engineering background can figure that out. That's why I supply the files to you guys ;)
Pirates - yarrr mateys! The Pirates from 2014 needed wee updates but I did retouch these a wee amount jus' so they line up well wit' me more recent works. They'll print well in FDM if ye lay 'em on thar backs 'n point thar pointy weapons upward. Yarr!!!
Pirate Admirals - yarr these were originally Cap'ns back in ol' 2014, but given they be based on Pirate Admirals ( Blackbeard & Zheng Yi Sao ) they be now promoted yarr! Same tips above on printing em in FDM me mateys!!

Tis all for for now me mateys! Tomorrow I'll be work'n on new Pirate Cap'n! Maybe they'll have some straw hats on just to mix them up a bit in de looks. I'll be sure they be printing as One Piece. Yarrrrr
