The Tridrone, Quadrone & Pentadrone!
Hello friends! Today I completed the rest of the modrons! I rather enjoyed working on these ridiculous looking fellows. I made:
Tridrone - this was a pretty wild modeling project. I was tempted to maybe start with the 2014 version but the differences between the 2025 and the old one were so vast a whole new model had to be made. For FDM printing this is a bit complex but if you can enforce only supports directly under its triangular body and nowhere else it will print fine. Resin folks get the usual presupported files.
Quadrone - this one is also one vastly different from the 2014 version and thankfully a little easier to print given instead of a bow and arrow it uses a cog launcher on its left arm. For FDM folks I recommend printing this on its back and using flush cutters so you don't mess up the wings when you remove supports.
Pentadrone -this fella is probably the most intimidating of all the modrons when it comes to printing but I was able to split it in half so you can print the legs and torso as one piece and the heads as another. This is actually now the easiest of the modrons to print haha.
That's all for now. Myconids are next and those are always fun. Stay tuned and stay amazing friends :)
