RELEASE THE KRAKEN!
Hello friends! Today I am proud to present to you the Kraken from the new Monster Manual! This massive creature was a lot of fun to work on and I'm really happy with how it turned out. I like that the Kraken in the new book goes back to the Giant Squid look. Given how massive and complex this creature is I highly recommend printing it in pieces. The main body can be printed as is, while the tentacles are rather large so whatever angle is flattest for your machine should work well on them.
The tentacles each have a little keying block under them that fits snuggly into their corresponding square hole on the body. I made a image map of where they need to go. These square pegs are not meant for structural support. Instead they're for ensuring you guide the tentacles in and they line up right. You need really strong glue to keep these from falling so I recommend Gorilla Glue, or even better, Gloop PLA. Gloop PLA is amazing adhesive chemically designed specifically for filament. Gloop actually makes adhesive for other materials like PET-G and ABS too.
Anyway more to come tomorrow as I delve into the Kuo-toa! Stay tuned and stay amazing friends!

@mz4250 I tried to print this twice (kraken body presupported model) with resin. The front of the head peeled off during the print both times. :( Used up most of my resin so I can try again right away. Even missing half of its face, my daughter loved it and wouldn't let me throw it out. So I might post a pic of a painted & maimed kraken.
I think magnetizing the tentacles and making some bases to swap them to might go crazy.
Epic mini 😱🤯
YOU'RE EPIC

Have fun! Please give me feedback when you do either here or on the discord. I have no shelf space so I can't print this myself lol
