Monster Manual 2025 - The Black Dragon!
Hello friends! Today I proudly present the first creature from the new Monster Manual now ready for 3D printing: the Black Dragon! This was an awesome project to work on, full of excellent sculpting, modeling and rigging work. I really liked how the horns look on this fella, and like my previous dragons I made four versions that are of each age. The Ancient and Adult are flying because only a dumb dragon fights on the ground. The Young is on the ground because.. young and dumb lol. The wyrmling is in full puppy mode because that's the nature of baby dragons. Or in my headcanon they are :P
Full files are here and in the new Monster Manual 2025 folder. I presupported all the pieces for resin and for the Ancient and Adult versions I split them up into pieces for easier printing. For FDM printing I also oriented the pieces for easier printing. For the Young and Wyrmling they are smaller so FDM printing might not show all the little spikes and teeth but should look ok at least. Use organic supports and a careful hand when removing supports below the wings.
That's all for now. I'll start working on the Blue Dragon next. All dragons require at least two days of work so we'll see how far I get. Stay tuned :)

I printed the adult one using my resin printer, looks amazing! I notice there’s a little hole in the abdomen for a stand spike to display it flying. Any idea what I can use as a stand for this?
It's the file labeled huge creature flying size marker
Great job, can't wait to print them off. Thank you
Hands down the wrymling is my favorite one, will these be able to sell prints of?
As long as it's listed in the DnD SRD PDF yes
Puppy dragon isn’t something I expected to see today, but I’m certainly not complaining. It’s adorable lol
Agreed :D
Are the new monster manual monsters part of the the stuff that can go in the commercial drive?
Only if they are listed in the D&D SRD Pdf
Nice!
It looks amazing!
YOU LOOK AMAZING
