Tome of Beasts: The Xhkarsh, Xanka, Ychen Bannog & Zimwi!

Hello friends! Today I worked on more creatures from Tome of Beasts! I made:

  • Xhkarsh - this plane traveling mantis like creature was an amazing project to work on today. It a nice mix of sculpting and modeling. Insects minis are very hard to print, both in FDM and resin, so I included a version that is not on the stand that should be easier to print. However for resin users I included a presupported version that should print pretty well. Also for FDM printing sizing it up a little will help. Organic supports or line supports should be fine.

  • Xanka - this was a fun little robot to work on. Arcane magic users have these around their labs that suck up garbage, but can be useful little familiars if they want. Same printing tips as above.

  • Ychen Bannog - this is a MASSIVE cow lol. It was a fun sculpting project for sure. I sized it so you can print it with most printers, but if you wanted to size it up further I say go for it. Its supposed to be 40 feet tall so if you wanted to max size it I'd respect that lol. But anyway, for FDM just print it as is and glue it to the stand. Use organic supports, though given its size any support system will work fine.

  • Zimwi - this was a fun mix of rigging work and sculpting. This might be a useful file in the future if I ever get requests for more Leonin. For FDM printing you'd get your best results printing it on its back. Resin users should be careful with the support removal around its tail.

That's all for now! Tomorrow will be the last monster in this book, then its onto the NPCs. I'm almost done! Stay tuned!
