Tome of Beasts: The Suturefly, and the Swarms of Fire Dancers, Manabane Scarabs, & Prismatic Beetles.

Hello friends! Today I made more creatures from Tome of Beasts:

  • Swarm of Fire Dancers - a single fire dancer is just a little elemental that kinda looks like a spooky skull. Harmless though unsettling. However an entire swarm can become a serious threat. I really enjoyed working on this one given it was a fun sculpting project. For FDM printing you can print it as is with supports under some of the skulls.

  • Suturefly - this is basically just a big dragonfly with extra wings. I naturally just remixed my existing dragonfly model. For FDM printing this is a tough one given how small it is. Use organic supports and do be careful removing supports under the antennae, as you should def print this upside down. For resin printing this is also a tough one given how small it is. Be careful snipping off the supports.

  • Swarms of Manabane Scarabs and Prismatic Beetles - so this was not easy to put together. I apologize but I don't think this is FDM friendly given all the little wings. For resin printing this is also a tough one so be sure to use a steady hand when carefully removing supports under some of the wings. My apologies for this one. If you need an easier swarm to print I did make lots of bug swarms in the Monster Manual - Appendix A.
