the crimes new roman jobless situation is crazy. thank you for everything, i wanted to make this little update just so everyone is aware of where my life is at and what might or might not be going on. the world is crazy but you all are amazing. thank you for listening to my panicked ramble and i hope everyone is taking care of themselves.

Just got a job after spending the last year unemployed and the last 6 months actively interviewing. Shit's insane. Gonna pay the karmic debt by upgrading to a paid membership. If you do have savings and are able to do so, I highly recommend taking a week or two to just... decompress. Especially after the move. Your mental health will probably thank you, and the channel will still be here.

I'm really sorry you and your partner are experiencing this. I worked at a nonprofit that served immigrant and refugee children, and the entire program was cut this September due to federal budget cuts (fuck trump); all 450 of us, serving 600 kids. It is scary and discouraging and demoralizing. It is hard to be an artist, a creator, or try to make the world better. Even with those obstacles, you have made this world better. My partner and I watch all of your videos, and your thoughts and feelings have felt empowering to us to keep going and keep resisting and keep making art and keep fighting this hellscape we all are in. I am really sad you and your partner have been thrown into this situation, and I am simultaneously excited to see more of you!!! You know the hecklers in the Muppets? The two old guys in the theater balcony that heckle whoever is speaking? Your Patreon community are your old silly Muppets cheering you on (rather than heckling). You're not alone, and you make a difference whatever your job status is, but I hope things get more stable and just feel safer.
you guys are the best muppets i could ask for. i chose this life as a creative because it's the only thing i can do and i'm gonna make it work, because the alternative is hell. we will survive and persevere. i am deeply flattered you and your partner watch my videos and they've had such an effect, i make them to give myself a sense of sanity and grounding and i'm so glad the same thing can happen to other people. i will do my best to never disappoint. you sound like you do incredible work despite the system being absolutely fucked, and it's people like you who keep the world going on times like this.

I know it doesn't feel like this very much right now, but you have a 100% success rate at surviving all the bullshit before this. Survival sucks. But it beats the alternative.
