Branded To Fall Dev Update 01/11/26
Hey hey!
Well this week has been pretty damn crazy (I say as if this whole month hasn't decided to none stop kick my ass XD), when it rains it certainly pours. I won't get too much into it but my son had an accident this week that led to a lot of emergency trips and him needing to have some emergency surgery on his finger. He's fine and already back to his usual self, but as you can imagine I lost most of the week to this and looking after him properly after, so there's been much less progress than I'd like to be able to report. I won't say any more on it as I know everyone's here for updates on Branded not on my personal life, but I wanted to be fully transparent on why this weeks update is smaller with less progress.
Onto the more fun news though, I've kept working on branded and been trying to get all the ways to properly access the huge new area working. This area is an entire new village near Valdstead and the surrounding forest and swamp area's too. I have multiple plans for the player unlocking access to it, and once one of the MC's has unlocked it, you can visit there as either of them, similar to the forest (I'll also add a fast travel option for ease). This area won't be overflowing with new quests just yet, but I plan on adding some fun side missions there and to Valdstead soon to offer some other ways of making cash or getting mana.
Art wise works flying ahead with the animation on a very fun and spicy Seren scene that I personally am very excited for. In classic me fashion I've managed to make it into a multiple event thing instead of just one though as I love to make more work for myself XD The upside is this does mean more content for you all though!
That's all I have to really go into this week I'm afraid, which is hopefully understandable given the circumstances. Next week a lot of things should be returning to a more normal routine so I'm hoping to be able to go hard on work and really make up for all the lost time that seems to have been unending this last month. Here's hoping for an infinitely more productive November and to no more sickness or hospital trips in the foreseeable future.
As always, thank you all for the love and support, and have an amazing week!

I'm glad your son is okay! You're good man glad you took care of him. And for the update itself the new areas seem interesting can't wait to explore and find what's in them!
The joys of parenting. I still wonder how we made it through childhood in one piece... Got to hear the offspring is doing well again!
Sorry about your son but I’m glad he’s fine! Wishing you all the best
Damn, that must have been stressful! I am glad your son is better and back to his usual self.
