Branded To Fall Dev Update 04/05/26
Hey hey!
Slightly late to this weeks update as, honestly, there's little to say! The update went very well, a slight bug hiccup but resolved quickly. I wanted to do a poll after this update on a more updated favourite routes and routes you're interested in now that we have a whole bunch more at a level to show off properly what it will be about and the character of those involved. I've been toiling over how I want to do this, as obviously at the moment I can only do it as a limited subscriber poll, while after the public release I can a broader spread. So I think I'm going to make two separate polls, one for patrons/subscribers this week, which will be asking for peoples top 3 routes/characters, and then a more general one after the public release on just which routes people are excited to see more of, with as many responses as you want.
Bug reports have been very thin, and given the time frame now, I'm taking this as a nice win, and the update being in the clear. I've already begun work on 0.7's "omegaupdate", and I really think you'll all find the time worth the wait for more Jen and Charlotte content. I have some really fun art ready as is, and I'm already excited to see how people enjoy and respond to it!
To top it off, I have some great progress music wise that I'm hoping to really fit in alongside this update as well (especially thematically). I'd post a teaser here, but honestly I want you to experience it properly in game like it should be to really hit that first impression!
Finally, I've had some questions about what the "omegaupdate" will entail in general. Honestly, I'm calling it that mostly for show. It will contain more then a regular update as far as content goes, which will be multiple scenes minimum for both Jen and Charlotte. I will be including some other content outside of them too (hopefully), so no need to despair if you're someone who dislikes both. As an aside to this, I don't want to release this update until I'm happy with the content included, so rather then stick to my usual two month cycle, this update may take a bit longer to be "properly cooked" and as such I don't want to give a firm or even a rough date. The plus side to this, is I can promise there will be some good stuff in a real chonky boy waiting for you all.
