Finding Blood on Our New Land (We Hire a Witchdoctor)
This week took a pretty unexpected turn...
After arriving back on our land, we came across something that stopped us in our tracks. Blood and a series of items left us with far more questions than answers.
As newcomers to Vanuatu, we knew this wasn't something we wanted to dismiss or pretend to understand. Instead, we leaned on the advice of local friends, listened carefully, and tried to approach the situation with as much respect as we could.
That journey eventually led us to meeting a local witchdoctor, who kindly agreed to visit the land and perform a traditional cleansing ceremony. It was an experience unlike anything I've ever been part of, and one I'll never forget.
Somewhere in the middle of all of this, Riles and I decide it's time to welcome our very first farm animal... meet Cedric 😅
We really hope you enjoy this early AD-FREE release of this week's episode. Thank you, as always, for making these adventures possible. Your support allows us to keep sharing these moments... the exciting ones, the challenging ones, and everything in between.
What would you have done if this had happened on your land? Do you think we handled the situation the right way? Riles and I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
Love,
Elayna & Riley, Lenny & Darwin

Pretty disappointing video tbh, impulsive buying of the goat, the handling and treatment of the goat, having your kids stand buy a cheap rope tied to a ball hitch. Someone can die if that thing came flying off. There's plenty of videos of people dying from exactly that
If you knew and trusted in Jesus Christ you wouldn’t need a witch doctor 😂🤣😂
Perspective from a couple who live on our own farm & also developing our own separate wooded property for home build this past year - and spending a lot of time consulting with professional excavator & foundation / driveway guys (hubs BFF is in the biz) and having 7 ton excavator AND a 48 HP tractor (TYM) with an excavator attachment: The tractor is priceless. Cannot say how incredibly useful it's been, saved our bodies, saved our budget, worked hard for us so we can actually survive the work that needs doing... from moving downed trees, logs, rocks, to digging trenches, grading the driveway (also about 700 meter driveway), removing brush & invasives, all on the undeveloped property.... to the daily farm work it does on the farm here... PRICELESS. we considered buying an excavator like you are solely for the reason of using it to build our driveway and dig our foundation/septic etc but we chose not to because, although the cost of renting one was high, we decided that only a professional should excavate for our home foundation. Foundation excavation requires precise skill, knowledge of the local geological structures, and experience. It isn't just digging a big hole. You've got to do it correctly or your foundation will be fvcked. If you can resell the excavator at a high price afterwards it may be worth it for you but personally I would not recommend that as an investment. Maybe on an island like yours, it'll be easy to resell something that's so expensive to ship. Either way. You're 100% going to want a tractor sooner than later. There will be SO MUCH work to do (as you're finding out) in preparation for your build and in every aspect of farming. A tractor can utilize attachments like mower, brush hog, auger, excavator bucket, fork lift, compactor, and many many more useful attachments that you can buy or rent. We have had Fords, John Deere, and now have a TYM that has been nothing shy of perfect.
Definitely go excavator 👌🏼
What is the horses current water source? Or can they access the waterfall river?
The Bible says we are constantly in spiritual warfare with things seen & unseen. I know of someone whose family was cursed by a witch doctor and for centuries the first born daughter’s bloodline for generations was afflicted in her family tree with illness and/or death including herself. After several years of experiencing her illness- she had a Pastor pray and deliver her from the curse and she’s been healed ever since! Here’s her testimony: https://youtu.be/S1MtPv_B_Y4?is=T-VSfGctteLnbHtc Tammy Comer- Breaking the Family Curse I’d consider going to a local church and ask a follower of Jesus to rebuke, pray and bless and protect your family and land. The only power greater than the devil, demons and evil is the power of the Lord Jesus Christ. Hiring a witch doctor is fighting evil with evil and doesn’t work. Only Jesus has power over the darkness because Jesus saved us by shedding his OWN blood which covers and atones for sin and evil. He is the way, the truth and the life! Praying for your protection and against the powers of the principalities. I will pray and rebuke any evil or harm that comes against you or your families for generations. I love you guys and want the best for y’all and your safety! 🙏
You know what they say, you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink. Looks like they are going to learn the hard way sadly.
Asking a witch's help is like setting the wolf to mind the sheep. You just make things worse. There is only one name witches and other satanists fear and fight against.
The Name of Yeshua ♥️
Hey guys! I love the videos, but seeing a chainsaw used without proper safety gear is always a bit worrying—especially with a massive platform of 2 million viewers. Please consider wearing protection. I'm not the first one mentioning this, so I'm surprised to see no change. We just want you to stay safe and keep making great content!
please make sure to get a tiltrotator with a gripper for the excavator instead of the tilt hitch! it might be more expensive but you will never regret it, especially when working solo.
Cedric is 💯 a witch doctor who practices black magic.
As soon as you got the goat into the truck I was thinking to myself, but how are they going to get the goat water on the property? LOL
Welcome to the jungle! What was quite a story. Seems inevitable that you guys would cross paths with the spirits. Hopefully the good ones will be welcoming you soon too.
