One of Our Final Voyages on the Trimaran.. 3 Days at Sea! (Extended Cut)

Hey legends,

So good to catch up with so many of you on the recent livestream! We just wanted to say another massive thank you for all the love and support on our last episode. Reading your comments has been so special for Riles and I, we feel incredibly lucky to have you backing us through all these big life shifts!!

This week, join us for a three-day passage from Helen’s Reef, Palau to Saraung, Indonesia… an archipelago we’ve dreamed of sailing to, and exploring with Lenny and Darwin, for years. 💛 After checking out Saraung and ticking off a few much-needed boat jobs, we drop anchor and within hours, we’re connecting with locals in a way we never expected… one of the warmest, kindest encounters we’ve ever had under sail!

We hope you enjoy this early preview - let us know what you think of this ep. in the comments!

Love,
Elayna, Riley, Lenny & Darwin

xxxx

PS: Just to be clear… this isn’t the END of La Vagabonde’s sailing journey. Not even close. We’re just weaving it alongside this next farm life chapter... stay tuned!

I’ve been watching you guys and been a Patreon for 11 years now. I just wanted to thank you for the great videos over the years. I have been able to voyage vicariously through you. Quality of the filming has improved massively but at heart it has been the same genuine curiosity and kindness you both exhibit that has kept me on the channel. Good luck with the next adventure!

I Don’t comment often but had to give you and Crews a heartfelt thank you for the 11+ years of sailing to some of the most interesting places in the World, Beautiful. I knew I would never be seeing these places first hand, age, but felt like I was there with you’ll, in these videos, a class above all others !! Thank you Thank you

We have been loyal followers for about ten years. We love you, your family and adventures. It is each of you and your amazing storytelling that brings us back every time we can. And no matter where you go and life takes you we hope you will continue to let the world follow you and get glimpses from your perspective. Excited to see where the next chapter leads …. Oh! As parents of seven adult children and 13 grandchildren you DEFINITELY let Lenny go TOO high! 😄

An island orange cat would be the most badass kitty. Make them brothers and they would terrorize the neighborhood. Did you ever read the book The Dove? That boy had an orange kitty. As for dogs, island street mutts are the best, imo. Now onto making a kickass movie. Woohoo for a new life and the future that is full of learning. Say Yes to Life! PS, it only gets better the more curious you are.

20 years ago my wife and I spent time working and travelling in Australia. We were lucky enough to go sailing on a trimiran on the Great Barrier Reef. We had 3 days/ 2 nights and we were hooked, Saul-surfing the waves, snorkelling and exploring. We started a family a few years later and I can only say I don’t know how you have managed sailing and having a family while creating such great films, swimwear business, hosting, etc etc etc…. You are truly amazing people and I am so grateful that you have shared so much . Thank you thank you thank you. Blessings to you all on the next stage of your adventure. Fin.

This episode was such a joy to behold, sat here by the fire after another grey day of non stop rain in UK. You have no idea how much you sustain us all, your patreonites, through our winters of discontent. Incredible work Elayna,… stunning clips of your encounters with locals and your environment day today. Looking forward to West’s return… think you all will be too. His energy is golden.

What I enjoy most is that you are so open about what it takes, the good, the bad, the funny moments with the kids, the stressful moments. Adding crew, saying goodbye to the crew you have come to love. I enjoy this journey with you. I have only good expectations for your new adventure, where I am sure we will be on the farm, wondering what happens to the boat or on the boat, wondering what is happening on the farm. I get it you need some kind of home base. I think you are amazing parents to foster such an adventure that they can live in!! Well Done!

I've been on patreon with you for years and I am so excited for your new journey in life. Although, I must admit I will never forget seeing the paint color of the new trimaran for the first time! I will sorely miss seeing her moving through the water with your family. Just an amazing vessel to see. Wishing you all the best and I can't wait for your next episode.

Adding Costa Rica? Good choice. You'll find a lot of very fertile land for a low price.

I went sailing for the first time ever yesterday! After watching you for years, finally found a boat and someone to take me out- HOOKED! I have been a farmer, live remotely in the mountains of BC, Canada- not off grid but used to lots of power outages :) all of these lifestyles are so much better than cities and concrete cubicles for 40 hours a week. My partner and I now talk about land or sailing??
