BOARDED and Taken Aboard a Nuclear Powered Submarine! (Full Tour and Deep Dive)
Never in a million years did we think this would happen…
When we sailed into Guam last week, we thought the adventure would stay above the water. Turns out, we were wrong. The U.S. Navy invited us aboard the USS Minnesota, a nuclear-powered submarine, for a private tour! 😱
This week, we’re giving you an incredible glimpse into what life is like inside one of the most advanced vessels on Earth. From the control room to the torpedo bays, it honestly felt like stepping onto a movie set.
A huge thank you to the U.S. Navy for welcoming us aboard and making this unforgettable experience possible!
Would you be keen to set sail, or should we say dive, on one of these subs? Let us know in the comments below!
We hope you enjoy this early preview of the episode. Thank you, as always, for making adventures like this possible.
Love,
Riles, Elay, Lenny & Darwin (+ our awesome crew)

Love this video
This was a cool episode. I was a "submariner" on an older version of the boat you got to tour and let me tell you, it's really unusual for the Navy to roll out the red carpet like that. I guess it's good to have the Commodore as a fan! My time in Guam refitting USS TUNNY wasn't as much fun as you guys had, but I liked the people, so thanks for showing how beautiful it is there.
Well this is really one of your most interesting sagas. The beauty of these islands is breathtaking. While I feel privileged to experience this area of our world, I hope against hope that so many people, with much less awareness, will visit and forever change the lifestyle of the peoples you have been blessed to visit. Your adventure aboard the Submarine was so special. How crazy was it that even your kids were welcomed aboard. Wonder if I could do that because I was kinda breathing with some difficulty while you were in there… the old Disney World ride in a tiny submarine started to give me great anxiety. So fun to share in your daily life and watch how you all interact with each other in such tight spaces… cooking, sleeping, and sailing. Of course I am still enchanted by your children… what an incredible life they are living. Again, stay safe and continue to share your love and adventures with us.
That was SUPER SPECIAL. My wife was glued to the screen as her Dad had been in the Navy during Korea. Thank you for all the effort.
Unbelievably exciting to have had that rare and wonderful opportunity. I definitely see a movie of your sailing life when you are older, grayer and so experienced and wise. Who knew, right? Many thanks!
Crikey, that was a chunky episode, really fascinating. Lovely to see you all working so well as a team too. Thank you for the effort and time spent putting this together for us. So appreciated.
Thumbs up for GREG!! 👍👍 Amazing video guys!!! So many cool facts about submarines that I never knew!! Love your professionalism (minus leaving your thongs behind) and how awesome were the US Navy for allowing you to show us this story…. Annnd thank YOU guys for the sensational effort you put into ALL your eps!! You’re amazing! ❤️
Hahahah yayyyy for Greg 😂
Can’t wait to show my partner this video (currently backpacking Italy, so we have fallen behind) trying to convince her to green light Guam for my next Submarine duty assignment!
Loved this video captain. Glad you did not launch any missiles
Hahaha same. Darwin got close to the button at one stage 😉😂
Lord, them kids is gittin BIG!
I know.. they’re proper little boys now 🥹
What a fantastic video. I can’t believe how you pull these awesome experiences off! Thank you yet again for helping us to see a part of the world (and a nuclear submarine!!!) that we would not otherwise get the chance to see. I was so happy to see you take the naval officers to see your yacht too. And OMG - how did you convince them to let you do a skit?????
Haha thank you, so glad you loved it! Honestly it wasn’t hard to pull off the skit, Neil was all for it. More so, just embarrassing for us with all the other crew around who didn’t watch our show 😂 but we did it lol
Awesome, awesome, awesome! Thoroughly enjoyed this production. The time slipped past so fast I was sad it ended as I was riveted the whole way. Thanks guys :-)
Such an awesome video guys on so many levels! Well done!🥂 really enjoyed all the Pacific island hopping!🤙
Great video guys, coming from generations of Military people , and including many in the Navy. fantastic episode.
What a well done video. We loved all the information and exceptional detail that went into editing this video so professionally. I actually felt a bit better about our present day military after the interview session. Thank you so much for sharing your experience!
What a triple dose of massive honor. First, that the commodore was a fan. Second, that Military Intelligence probably approved the crew to have such access. Third, that you were received sooooooo warmly. I am quite astonished. And.... to think crew members of a nuclear sub did electrical trouble shooting for you. You actually didn't mention that they found it. Tracking down an intermittent short, as you know, is one of the**!**###**!-dest things to find. You had nuclear plant operators doing it. Congratulations and Thank you for sharing the experience with us.
Fantastic. Thanxz for all the effort you put into this episode of your life. As for Emily's comment, war weapons have always been what ever is handy to defend your home, country and in the case of WW 2, the World.
Always good to have friends in high places. That tour was nothing short of amazing. It's something Lenny and Darwin will remember forever.
Excellent video, very educational, informative and educational.
Fascinating video - loved it! What an opportunity and adventure.
I spent close to a year on Guam at Naval Magazine. What a glorious place to be assigned to a duty and getting to watch the changes to the island thanks to you and other YouTubers. 1968 vs.2025 really shows the growth and inspires me to return there before I croak. Love Guam and I am so surprised that many mainland Americans barely know of it or its location and history. I also want to commend the Navy for allowing you all to view and pass on the tour that you were able to have. There is a lot of tech that is totally classified and to allow you to film was amazing to me.
I was quite surprised at the availability that was given your crew to the ship. I also appreciated your being able to tell us about their essentially scrubbing all forms of recording while you were there.
Great video! So much information! Thanks
That was a VERY rare opportunity the Navy offered.
I absolutely agree, having been to a “keel”.
:-D
