5 Days Anchored in our own Volcano! Life on the Edge..
After two solid days at sea, we finally spotted a tiny speck on the horizon: Maug. This wild, uninhabited volcanic island feels like something straight out of a dream. Hands down, one of the most unforgettable sails of our journey so far!
Come along as we cruise deep into the heart of the Pacific and find ourselves surrounded by what looks like the set of Jurassic Park - volcanic peaks that once stood tall above the sea now forming a surreal ring around a submerged crater. It felt like we’d reached the edge of the world.
This episode means a lot to us, not just because of the destination, but because of what the journey brought out in us. Two days totally off the grid, but more connected than ever... to nature, to the boat and to each other.
Would you sail here? Or maybe you already have? We’d love to hear about your own adventures - drop us a comment and tell us how it went.
The full video is now live for you, our amazing patrons. 💛 As always, we simply couldn’t do these types of adventures without your support.
Love,
Riley, Elayna, Lenny & Darwin

Snickerdoodle! 😀
Snickerdoodle. Having lived in Guam the past 15 years, I still have not made it north to Maug. Well done!
Another excellent episode, the Dogfish Tuna you caught were amazing. When you think of the little bit of Tuna you buy in a supermarket, I envy you cooking a big pan full of Tuna for lunch, it looked gorgeous. Hope Alexander has recovered from her ordeal, which must have been very frightening for her.
Snickerdoodle. What an adventure Maug has been so far! Thanks for taking the time to film, edit and post Elayna, when on such journeys at sea in such stunning environments, it can’t be easy. Having so many on board takes some feeding, too!
Pls. Love to see the behind the scene video reply on all the things you think about before drone launch in hi wind
Wowow snickerdoodle
100% snickerdoodle. Awesome stuff and thank you guys so much for letting us be a vicarious part of your adventures as always. One Love!

What an amazing video. Snickerdoodles Reily, if wanna say something French to Elayna, say "Bon la nichon" lol Seriously though. I'm sitting at Canberra airport wait to board my flight back to Brizvegas. I'm fighting back there tears as I came to the end of of the video. Seeing the gang enjoying a good meal and being together. There is no greater experience than that. Yes, please never forget that your life right now in the present is a dream for some of us Bless you all
Now I’m teary thinking about how you were teary hahaha thanks Darren 😊
Amazing video… snickerdoodle. Loved this one.
Another incredible episode Elayna and Riley, love it!
Snickerdoodle. Amazing anchorage!
Bird watching is the best! All the way out there at the caldera, birds have flown to set up home.
Snickerdoodle I too, relish every special moment of my day and some of those moments include your videos! Thanks so much! I’m a bird person so I was absolutely thrilled with some of your focus on the birds of the islands. Please thank the crew member who got you focusing on those. More birds.
Yes I will. Alex (AKA Axel/West) loves birds and he’s inspired me to get into bird watching 🥲 - elayna
Dear Lort Riley.
Great video once again. I marvel at how fast the boys are growing and learning language skills. Tough passage but the cauldera & diving seem worth it. Your all so young and living life large. I truly enjoy watching it all happen.
WOW. Snickerdoodle. Always get in every bite of video. To think you are out in the middle of nowhere. Just breathtaking.
I was having SLV withdrawal!! Thank you for this early sneak peek!!⛵️🧡
Snickerdoodle. Your vids are just as good as the cookies!
Love it! Looks like you guys are loving the dream. Why don’t the folks sleep in hammocks like the sailors of old used to? Seems like it may be an interesting idea.
I wonder how alien you look like without the cucumber :) :). Just joking. You guys are amazing. Love to watch the videos as they feel very cinematic and creates the hunger to sail and explore the world by sea. I always look forward to the next video. Following on IG, Seapeople, Patreon... so trying to get the full picture of your journeys . Be yourself and enjoy all the time!! Darwin is such an amazing kid. Very active and lively imagination , love it!
Snickerdoodle; always love the adventure; 10 years of thank yous
Just arriving to my offshore work for the 5 weeks trip. Lot of problem to repair. Thanks for your video that help me to stay positive.
This release made my week. I'm stuck in bed with two broken legs, but I love me some slv
INCREDIBLE to watch LVIII fully LAUNCHING off waves upwind! :O!! And this one is for West, Way To Go, you're getting Elayna bit by the birding bug! Will you go to Pagan Island? I think you'll find your coconuts there. And of course, snickerdoodle.
Yes we go to Pagan in the next episode Colleen! Mind blown 🤯
Woot woot, another movie! :D
