Statement on Recent Incident at Sea

They say everyone has an accident at sea, if you do it full time. Only liars say otherwise. I've watched you guys for the start 2 times now. If you ever need a hand my time is yours. Kind regards Sam Aitken.

Oh guys, it broke my heart to see the accident's episode. The only really positive thing is that nobody got hurt, but how incredibly sad. After watching it, I decided to join this Patreon and help you out. I always supported you, liked the videos and did this Patreon for a while many years ago, then I had to stop. Ughh! It’s delirium how an anchored vessel can somehow surprise a moving vessel. Speaking from recent experience, when you're first processing a freak accident entirely out of your control, it's hard to hear “at least no one got hurt” - but once the shock wears off, you realize how true that is. Fiberglass and carbon fiber can be fixed, but people are harder. You got this SLV. Stay hopeful.

OMG I am stunned! First, I am glad nobody was physically hurt. I cannot imagine trying to deal with the various repercussions you are now embattled in… foreign country, language barrier, disruption of your journey and your home suffering from extensive damage. My thoughts are about you and with you. Try to post a couple of lines every other day so the world can stay aware of what is happening… your silence will be very frightening… you have so many of us who will support you and will be following what happens very carefully.

My second comment here. I would advice you to use the media in your advantage. Any lawyer will advise you against it, because you have the very big disadvantage of language barrier and it is very easy for lawyers likely on both sides to keep you in the dark of lengthy proceedings. In my experience lawyers want lengthy processes as that is how they make their living, likely in contrast to what you want. You have the great advantage to get the peoples positive judgment if you bring to media on what happened, as of right now local fishermen have very high status in their local jurisdiction, but I think you if anyone can turn that around it you.

Looking at the picture online the crack on one of the arms(?) to a pontoon as its called in article on La Vagabonde looks full length but hard to tell if the crack is superficial to paint only or structural. If structural, they may need to be hauled out. I can see the broken trampoline. Maybe someone has a boat to loan them ???
