Re Lenny and China, maybe he saw one of their new year celebrations with the dragon. He wants to see the moving dragon! And what's with men and speed and always moving the goal line? Not criticizing, but why can't they just enjoy the ride? 😂
Random question but how can I find Stefan (Shukran) online ?
Sorry I missed the live. A few points. One, what are you doing mucking about with agents and publishers? Take it from an indie author with eight years of half-mil per year income, they can't do anything for you, that you can't do better for yourself. Second, you mentioned needing strong crew. I've been a patron almost from the time y'all started and a subscriber since episode eight. I am a powerlifting record holder, with some sailing experience, besides being an author. If you want some advice on self-publishing, just google me. I'm pretty easy to find. And if you want crew in the South Pacific, I'll make myself available and probably write a story about it. Lastly, Lenny's going to beat you both on the slopes.
How about French Polynesia or New Zealand? Would love to see the remote islands of the south pacific.
Micronesia has my vote for future sailing.
You both seemed so chill and happy in this video. Being on the boat you thought about and planned for and waited so very long for seems to contribute to the wonderful mood you are both in. YES we love sailing with you but more importantly, we love you as a couple snd as a family! Your every day life makes great video.
Cheers Lanah!
Definitely do as many as you like of these videos, you guys are naturals at this sort of thing. Better than the “live” videos. Don’t get me wrong you’re good at that too, but it’s easy to have moments of being awkward. And then you got the spammers commenting stupid stuff. I love just hanging out with you guys. ☺️
By the way your new logo is awesome!
Ok you Can't do a Mod 70 southern ocean crossing!!!!! Unless I am part of the crew :). experienced sailor, diver, fun lover and Grandfather the thought of sustained speeds of over 20 k is amazing!!. Cheers, and never stop the crazy ideas they lead to the very best adventures
Such a treat to have a catch up with you two wonderful people.
Just got my first VegaBella swimwear, took me a hot minute to get there. Cheers Elay, you and your gorgeous brain.
Exciting!! Hope you enjoy the designs :)
I keep waiting for you to sail the Pacific Northwest! Will that ever happen?
Palau, 10/10 recommend. WOW on every level.
😎⛵️👍
I adore you and thank you so much for sharing your lives with us
I love these videos, they are always so funny and personal. I really love the updates and stories on the kids because they are a riot! I will say this: Do not visit Hawaii unless you can connect with Hawaiians and do activities that give back to the community (i.e. Lahaina), showcase Hawaiian culture and struggles they currently face, and allow them to use your platform to uplift their voices and opinions and needs. Hawaiians have repeatedly asked outsiders to stop coming to their islands because tourism is destroying it. While sailing there on your own boat is less impactful as you provide your own housing and water, you still will need to provision there which takes resources and adds to the issue, paying marina fees, etc. I say this as someone with profound, deep respect and aloha for Kanaka Maoli, the aina, and the islands, who has been listening to Hawaiians for years on this issue and asked many of them when I have gone there for work. If you do go, be sure to do it the right way and in cooperation with the Hawaiian people. I can recommend a few Hawaiian content creators on different islands for you to link up with if you like — one lives on and is from Niihau, which is the island that is closed to outsiders unless expressly invited and would be a great opportunity to showcase true unchanged Hawaiian culture, beliefs, needs, etc. It’s a very fine line to walk and sensitive topic. It breaks my heart to see how we are destroying literal paradise and pushing out her own people. Also, a side note re: laser hair removal. You should definitely do it! I did (legs and Brazilian+) and it’s one of the best things I ever did. Doesn’t hurt and makes it so you never have to think about it again. ❤️
It's time you plan a trip up the East Coast of America, Maine, Martha's Vineyard, the Long Island Sound, New York City.
I also like these update videos, we (well, I) don't only watch because of cool destinations and amazing sailing videos, but because of the fact that we like/love you. We are a weird kind of family, so it's nice to get personal once in a while :) You guys are my favourite youtubers, because you come across so down to earth, have great values in life and don't take yourselves too seriously, though the time and effort put in all your video's is very obvious too! Looking forward to your next video, whatever it is! :)
Hey guys more fishing and sailing is always a good solution. Seeing you talk about Rileys best sail ever is amazing. That's why I waited the 2 yrs to see 24 kts happen.
Hi - my preference is for the sailing videos but you have a diverse audience and a lot of people like these, and that’s ok.
keep sharing....it helps us understand what life on the water really is like.
Loved this chat. More cozy, intimate answers as to your life onboard, and humorous through and through. As far as future sailing plans go, I would suggest the South Pacific. Micronesia/Solomons/ Tuamotos etc. You did not get to spend a lot of time exploring this region when you were on your monohull, and that is such a large fascinating and beautiful area to spend time in. You have spent a lot of time in the Bahamas, and it was very enjoyable. Would love to see you spend a lot of time exploring the South pacific. Riley, these are great videos! Keep doing them! The sailing and adventures are awesome, but these videos are "real" and very enjoyable. Watching you both from the monohull days to present has been such a grand adventure. There is a reason you are the top sailing channel. Don't let the naysayers affect you at all. You are doing it right👍
Micronesia. Ok, Riley you wanted to be challenged. What is the specific start and end location for the six day crossing? Now that you have some experience with your current Vagabond from rapido, how many days will it take to do the crossing you had in mind? Share on a map, or with GPS coordinates of the start finish location. Yes, you should feel guilty, but not for the reasons you say... you're making the rest of us blokes look bad with your superb buff, ring workout body. As for insurance, have you attempted to get your insurance company to offer you sponsorship?
My take is that I love these. Can you please not bleep the language. Uncensored just for Patreon
Am I right to assume that your boat has 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms. And the main gally has the table drop down to make a bed with the couch?
Just wondering when we will be getting a part II on episode 15, Riley's torrid affair with Bilgey?
I love your candid talks videos. Thanks for doing these.❤️
Loved this update video!!! So amazing watching your family and channel grow together 🤍🦋
Micronesia. It’s great when you showcase places that most of us will never get to.
Firstly..... I loved this chat and share session. More than anything it makes you both real like regular people who found a great niche in like, feel like you are literally speaking directly to as just people talking to other people. You make me feel so comfortable and that your speaking was so personable sharing your stories. More than any other post, the vid ended with me feeling like you are real friends that I know and enjoyed catching up and hearing how you are doing. Thank you!!!!! Peace and love be with you!!!
Excellent! I would choose Hawaii. Specifically Oahu Kaneohe Bay and Kaneohe Yacht Club would sponsor and host so you have what you need on land. Check out our Sandbar that is a perfect spot to spend time also. But I would also choose staying as long as possible in Philippines first. Elay! You are AMAZING! Such a great inspiration. All you are. I think I know Jamie from San Diego Yacht Club. Xoxo Marci Please check out my candy. I want to get some to you. Alohagoldxo.com
Lots of sailing, lots of diving, lots of exploring, lots of great scenery... It's all good, mate. But that WAS an epic sail. I've gone back to watch it three times now, and here you added a few clips. Goodonya!
Love these life updates. I get a lot from IG posts which are more current. Anything from you guys is always good. So great to see the boys doing so well. They are very different souls aren't they. Are they developing an Australian accent or do you even notice?
You rarely mention family. Do you see them?
The entire series Men are from Mars... are great books
Couldn’t see the link to Beam but tried to order the peanut butter flavour and while it accepted the discount code of Slav it wouldn’t ship to my address in Melbourne ☹️ will try again later
Seapeople here, our two year old Francis onboard, loves to see the boys Lenny and Darwin in the episodes.
I’ve just started watching and have to pause to comment … please don’t feel guilty about not sailing 1000 nautical miles … I’m no sailor and am here just to enjoy living vicariously through you both … love these latest videos with the longer viewing … now back to watching …
