Moving On Is Hard… Until Namtan Shows Up| Moonshadow EP 6 | Full Uncut Reaction
Chan and Key are officially moving into a new stage of their relationship, and this episode starts showing what that means not only for them—but for the people who haven't quite caught up yet.
Jay still has the key to Chan’s condo and lets herself in like she has countless times before. But this visit is different. She notices Chan’s new tattoo, a visible sign that things have changed and that Key now holds a place in Chan’s life that Jay no longer does. The realization seems to finally hit home, and before leaving, Jay gives Chan back her key.
And then… she goes on a drinking binge.
Afterward, Key makes an attempt to extend an olive branch to Jay and put some of their hostility behind them, but Jay shuts that down almost immediately. Clearly, accepting that Chan has moved on and actually being ready to play nice with the new girlfriend are two VERY different things.
And apparently, one drinking binge wasn't enough.
Back at the bar, a very drunk and emotional Jay curses out her aunt, spills a drink on a complete stranger, and eventually asks the woman to slap some sense into her.
So naturally, she actually slaps her.
Jay eventually passes out, and the mysterious stranger takes her home, cleans her up, and puts her to bed. The next morning, Jay wakes up hungover and barely remembering what happened—only to discover two very important things:
The stranger is NAMTAN… and she’s a PILOT.
Meanwhile, Chan and Key continue growing closer. But when Chan’s mother arrives and their already complicated relationship erupts into another confrontation, things quickly turn ugly. She attempts to slap Chan, only for Key to immediately step in and stop her, standing her ground and protecting Chan without hesitation.
Between Jay finally returning the key, Key claiming her place beside Chan, and the arrival of one extremely unexpected pilot, it feels like the relationships in Moonshadow are entering a whole new chapter.
And apparently, Namtan came to personally escort us into it.

Episode 6 „Over the Moon“ starts without a cold open directly where we left off – with Chan and Key in front of the hotel, where Key admits to Chan that they have met before with Chan still not remembering it, but Key claiming that it’s okay as it happened a decade ago when she was only 15. But Chan claims that Key is allowed to be mad at her, but Key claims that she’s more upset that she kissed another woman. Chan apologizes for that, but Key claims that an apology isn’t enough, with Chan asking what she needs to do to make her stop being mad at her, and Key proposing a new rule: tonight she the only one who can kiss her, claiming that Chan can’t kiss her without her permission. Chan agrees to that rule, and Key won’t be holding back, she claims – attempting to start kissing her, but Chan wants to cancel their deal first, as she doesn’t want Key to be her sugar baby anymore, and asks her to be her girlfriend instead. Key smiles and accepts, admitting that she wanted to be her girlfriend for a long time. She kisses Chan, with Chan wanting to return the kiss several times, but Key reminding her of their rule. They eventually return to Chan’s condo and start making out. The next day, Chan is still smiling at her office, thinking back about their night together, as Phu wants to see her. He is surprised that smiles at him and greet him with a good morning, claiming that is not normal, but Chan claims that from now on, she will smile more often. He argues that it’s because Jas checked out of the hotel, and Chan asks him if she told her that. Phu admits it and claims that she also told her she will keep her word, and he claims he almost paid her back with money from his father, so no more Jay asking him to do anything, claiming he will cut ties with her. Chan thanks him for that, but Phu argues he should rather thank her for still being his friend. Chan argues that she would have no friends left if she dropped him – but he needs to promise her that he will tell her from now on when he has a problem. Phu promises it, then Chan is reminded that he told her he has a friend who is a tattoo artist, claiming they had done many tattoos for celebrities. Phu confirms it and asks why. Meanwhile, Key has finished practicing with her band, claiming that she won’t see her bandmates before their performance at the Crescent and will send them the planned setlist, as she has a matter to tend to. Her bandmates claim it’s a matter of the heart, having realized that Key is in such a good mood that day not wanting to play sad songs as opposed to a few days before when she was moping around like a sad puppy. Key claims that she just has a girlfriend now. Her bandmates are shocked that finally stopped to flirt around, and claimed she didn’t want to be in a relationship, but Key claims that she said that because she was waiting for her and all her life, she will be committed only to her. They want to know who she is – but right then Chan arrives wanting to pick her up in her Ferrari, with Key claiming that they just finished practice, and Chan admitting to her bandmates that they are dating now. They call each other ที่รัก (darling) and drive off. Later, they meet at a fancy bar, because Chan wants to show Key something, and asks her to help her take her jacket off. Key claims that she acting strange that day, but does it anyway, and eventually notices the treble clef tattoo that Chan has in the same place where Key got he moon tattoo, with Chan claiming that this time, she will remember her, and claiming that tattoo has another meaning, arguing that the clef is the first sign you write down when starting to compose a song, it’s the beginning of everything, just like Key is a new beginning for her. She wants to start singing again because of her, she claims. But Key wants to know if she’s sure about that tattoo, and won’t her family be against it arguing that it might not look good on an executive like her. But Chan claims she uses her brain, not her tattoo for making business decisions, and she claims that she’s an adult and her argues that her family won’t have any problem with it – her body, her choice. She argues that from now on, she will do everything only for her, and Key likes that side of her, arguing that she’s crazy in love. The next day, Chan is late for work – for the first time, she argues, and Key claims that she can’t blame her, arguing the she was the one who wouldn’t go to sleep, but Chan arguing how could she go to sleep when Key was wearing that night gown, with Key arguing that she liked it, so she should stop complaining. Chan wants her to stop distracting her from work, and Key accepts that and tells her to go to work now, but wanting to have lunch together. Chan claims that she has a meeting that day, and Key proposes to have dinner instead, but Chan claims that she doesn’t know when she will get off work. Key claims that when she goes to see her, that’s when it’s time to get off work. Chan wants to leave, but Key holds her back until she gives her a kiss on the cheek. The hotel board thinks Chanya – Chan’s mother – won’t agree with the increased budget for personnel training. Chan argues that their hotel receives high ratings for staff services and thinks it’s reasonable to increase the budget for training new staff – and she will handle her mother. The boards wants to increase the room rate because of rising costs and higher living expenses, but Chan doesn’t want to do it at that time, thinking they should launch a campaign to attract customers instead, claiming their costs are indeed rising, but arguing that they can make profits from the high quality of rooms and services. The discussion is cut short because Key is there to see Chan, and Chan closes the meeting, with the board arguing that they haven’t reached a conclusion yet, but Chan claiming they can discuss it the next day, arguing that meeting already went on for five hours. Jay is waiting for Chan in her room, but she arrives with Key. She thought she would meet her alone, not attached at the hip to Key. Chan asks her to stop coming to her condo, arguing what she did is illegal. Joy argues that it suddenly became illegal now that they aren’t together anymore, with Key arguing that even if they were still together, she shouldn’t come into her room like that. Jay claims she is used to it, claiming she could come there since they were in school. Chan wants to know what she wants, and Jay wants to talk to her in private, but Key argues that they are together now and have no secrets from each other, and when she doesn’t want to talk in front of her, she should leave. Jay notices the new tattoo that Chan has, and claims that it’s pretty – and she returns to keycard to her and leaves. Chan turns to Key and claims it’s really over. From now on, she doesn’t need to worry anymore, as she is the only one she loves, and she won’t hesitate anymore or hurt her again. Jay is walking to her car close to tears, and once she gets into her car, she cries bitterly as she realizes her time with Chan and the relationship that she lost. The next day, Phu claims to Chan that Jay looks terrible now. As Key is observing them talking, Chan wants to know what he wants her to do, claiming that it’s obvious she is trying to get her attention, and Phu confirms it, but for the sake of their friendship, he wants her to talk to her, claiming that he never thought a girl like Jay could fall apart like this. But Chan argues what can she say to her, claiming that she won’t listen to her anyway. But Phu argues that she is the only one in this world she will listen to. But Chan argues that they are over. Phu suspects that she doesn’t want to talk to her because that would upset Key, and she admits it and claims she has hurt her too many times and right now, she’s the only one that she cares about, arguing that they just need to let Jay deal with it on her own. Key encounters Jay at the restaurant they first met and takes place next to her, claiming they seem to have similar tastes. Jay doesn’t want to argue with her and wants to leave, but Key claims she isn’t talking about Chan. Jay suspects that she is going to rub it in her face, but Key claims she isn’t that kind of person, and wants to be friends with her, or sisters. But Jay argues that if the situation was reversed and Chan and her got back together, would she still be her friend or sister? Key admits that she probably couldn’t do it. Jay hates it when people feel bad for her, arguing her life isn’t that bad. She suspects that Key is acting like this because Chan refused to see her, and argues that she was right to do so, because even if she came back, it would make things worse for her. Jay asks Key if she thinks she’s an angel for reaching out to her, arguing that she must feel good to act like a saint. Key claims she never thought she was an angel, she came her because she thought they once really hit it off, even though it was only for a short time. If Jay doesn’t want to be her friend, she understands that. Jay claims that even if she moves on from Chan, they can never be friends, she argues that her relationship with Chan won’t be easy, and wants her to be careful. She leaves Key alone… …and tries the “drowning herself in alcohol” method again. Her aunt calls asking if she gets drunk again. Jay loudly claims it’s her life, and none of her business to her aunt. Her aunt is worried that if someone finds out that she’s getting drunk every night, what would she do? But Jay doesn’t care, and doesn’t want her aunt to call her again as she hangs up. She drops her phone into a wine cooler, grabs a drink and stumbles away from the bar – and right into a girl (played by Namtan of all people!) spilling her drink onto her. She hands her a few banknotes as compensation, claiming the she’s sorry, and leaves the bar. The next morning, Jay wakes up in an unfamiliar room hungover and wearing different clothes. The girl whom she spilled upon comes in, now wearing a pilot’s unform, asking if she is sober now. She thinks that Jay is confused who she is and how she ended up there. Jay wants to know if the slept together the night before, but the pilot claims she doesn’t like sleeping with a drunk woman, especially one that threw up and passed out on the street. And we get a flashback of Jay stumbling out of the bar onto the curb and crying when the pilot encountered her and gave her the money back, with Jay asking her to slap her wanting to wake up. The pilot only acquiesced her wish after Jay was hysterically crying. After the slap, Jay grabbed her beer, downed it in one go, and subsequently threw up and passed out, leaving the pilot no choice but to carry her to her room because she didn’t know where she lived, and she didn’t have her phone with her. Jay apologizes for causing trouble and will pay her back for wasting her time, but the pilot doesn’t want her money, arguing that Jay’s life is always revolving around money and benefits. She doesn’t need to pay her back, she just needs to leave her room, arguing that she’s awake and sober, so she doesn’t need to stay there any longer. She points to the bathroom for her clothes, and Jay goes in and cries loudly in frustration. Key sits at the piano remembering her talk with Jay, and admits that she saw her as Chan comes into the room. Chan thinks that she snapped at her, and Key admits it by claiming she knows Jay really well. Chan claims that they’ve been friends since they were young, but argues that she doesn’t have any feelings for her now. Key knows that she loves her and doesn’t have feelings for Jay – but she isn’t sure they can make it work. But Chan claims that no matter what problem arises, she will make this relationship work. She wants to be together with Key until they grow old, have grey hair, need to wear dentures, and always look for their glasses. Chan wants to play the piano with her, and so, they sat next to each other playing a few notes. Then, the phone rings (showing a call from Sun) and almost at the same time the doorbell rings as well. Key takes over getting to the door, while Chan is picking up the call – and immediately alarmed for what waits at the door, telling Key to wait. But she lets the woman who turns out to be Chan’s mother in, and she immediately finds her tattoo slapping her for it and asking how could she do this, and does she think it’s appropriate. Chan claims that it’s just a tattoo and doesn’t define her worth. Chanya wants to slap her again, but Key goes in between them, claiming even though she is her daughter, she shouldn’t use violence with her. And that’s where the episode ends. ____ That was almost a full hour of full bliss for Chan and Key – right until the end, when Chan’s mother showed up, behaving exactly as I expected it from a mother figure in a GL played by Um. 😉 I don’t know if Namtan’s nameless pilot is just a one-off guest stint or supposed to offer some kind of a ‘way out’ for Jay - but I think that next week, she will be back to her old ways just supported by her aunt and Chan’s mother, as Key is getting attacked for her mother. This was a nice diversion from all the doom and gloom of the previous episodes, but it’s not going to last, I’m sure, as we still need to learn same more about Key past.
