4 Elements: The Air Ep. 6 | She Asked The Question Neither Of Them Could Avoid

With danger closing in from every direction, Princess Blew and Officer Lom find themselves with nowhere left to run—and nowhere left to hide from their feelings. As the walls they've carefully built between duty and desire begin to crumble, Blew boldly pushes the boundaries of their relationship, forcing Lom to confront emotions she's desperately tried to keep under control.

But while their hearts may finally be speaking the truth, reality remains far less forgiving. The gap between a princess and her protector looms larger than ever, casting doubt on whether love alone can overcome the path that awaits them.

Meanwhile, their desperate escape takes a dangerous turn when a life-threatening situation leaves one of them fighting for survival, leading to a tense and emotional rescue that will test their bond like never before.

As feelings are confessed and boundaries are crossed, Episode 6 asks a heartbreaking question: What happens when two people finally admit they love each other, but know they may never have a future together?

Episode 6 starts with Boonsong phoning home asking about Bua’s wishes, before we switch back to the private island, where Blew is strolling down the beach as Lom is watching. Lom is telling Blew that Bua will take her somewhere because she has to look after the house for Boonsong. Blew notices that Lom is writing something om the sand – “Princess, Flee!” in the secret language that Blew taught her, and Lom tells her if she ever sees this message anywhere, she must run away immediately to a boat she has ready in the back of the bay. Blew asks about Lom who claims she will be right behind her and won’t let her go alone. Blew wants to know why she mentions this all of a sudden. But Lom claims it’s just in case. As Boonsong finishes his call, one of the assassins puts a gun to his back and wants him to take him to the boat, where some more assassins are already waiting for him to take them to the island. They promise to spare his life if he takes them to the princess, and as he claims to be just a fisherman, the team leader points a gun at him claiming if that he dumps his body in the sea, he doubts that anyone will find it. So, he takes them to the island with the leader coordinating with someone to meet on the island. Blew is walking with Bua and feels a little exhausted… …as the assassins have reached the island and fan out to find Blew, they are joined by about a dozen of other assassins who are already on the island, they encounter Lom standing around and want to capture her. But Lom just walks away pretending not to see them as the bad guys are combing the place. Bua finds the secret “Flee” message as Lom starts to shoot at the assassins, who shoot back, and Blew notices the gunfire and starts to run. Cops are joining Lom at the operation and return gunfire, and Lom tells them to turn themselves in. Gunfire is exchanged as Blew runs down the island and into Fai, whom Lom sent to get her. Blew wants to know what’s going on and where is Lom, but Fai tells her not to worry about her, as they have to take her to a safer place as fast as they can. Gunfire shows that the assassins are getting closer, as Blew hesitantly follows Fai onto a small, motorized boat. The leader of the assassins tells his henchman to find a boat and go after them, and they quickly find another boat and follow them. A chase ensues with both sides exchanging gunfire and eventually hitting something. Both the bodyguard and the driver pf the boat are hit, and the assassins are getting closer – Lom joins them and quickly shoots them from a aboard third boat. Lom is happy to be rejoined with Blew – but she sees the team leader pointing a gun at Lom and shooting. Lom is hit and falls into the sea with Blew diving after and rescuing her. Lom has worn a ballistic vest, so she is probably unharmed, but lost consciousness when falling into the water, and after a hot minute of CPR, she awakes. Blew tells her not to do it again as she would blame herself for the rest of her life if something happened, but Lom claims to be all right. At the hospital, Lom is put into care as Wathit arrives and tells them that Boonsong and everyone else on the island is fine, as is Lom, Blew claims. He requests a private audience with Blew and they leaves the room with Fai caring for Lom. Blew apologizes for putting Lom into great danger, but Wathit claims it’s the traitors who are to be blamed, and he reports that all attackers are taken care of, but he’s afraid there might be more of them, so, she should remain cautious. Blew is afraid that the traitors will never let her return to Madelin alive, but Wathit claims that Fah will be able to contact her people in Madelin soon, and Blew hopes that it will be before the imposter returns to Madelin. And Wathit will check whether any natives form Madelin enter Thailand and will notify her immediately if that’s the case. And Blew wants it to be over as soon as possible, and doesn’t want Lom to risk her life anymore. Lom awakes to find Fai in his room, but Blew is not there, she teases her for looking for her girl as the first thing after wakeup, but reports that Blew is outside talking to her father. Lom wants to know how long she has to stay at the hospital, and Fai doesn’t know but teases her that she would like it to act all clingy to Blew. Lom wants Fai to be respectable to Blew, and Fai teases her that she’s acting all protective, as blew returns to find out how Lom is doing. Lom claims to be fine and thanks her for rescuing her. Blew requests that she shouldn’t risk her life like that again, as Lada and Nam arrive. Nam scolds Lom for almost getting killed and not telling her beforehand what she was up to… …and we get a flashback of Fai noticing she’s being followed and telling her guys to find out who they are, and they are were non-locals and looking everywhere for Lom. Lom thought those were the hitmen from Madelin, and set a trap for them. They contacted Wathit. Boonsong and Yod also noticed that they were being observed, Fai reported to Wathit that the hitmen followed her to Surat Thani, and he sent some men to the island. We also get a reveal that Boonsong was talking on the phone to Lom and informing her of the hitmen, with Fai and Lom planning the rest from the island. Nam scolds Lom and Fai for not telling her beforehand, and Fai claims it was a last-minute decision, and Lom admits that it was her idea and she told her not to tell anyone. Lada notices some glances between Lom and Blew. Henri meanwhile learns of the failure of the guys he hired. Din and Rose are at the airport and will visit the next day, Fai reports and Blew takes care of Lom. Lom doesn’t want all the fussing, and claims she will get out soon. Fai notices the glance between Lom and Blew and tries to get Lada and Nam out of the room, claiming that Mam and Lada can stay at her place. Lada asks Blew who wants to stay at the hospital. Lom fears that she will be uncomfortable, but Blew vows that she will never leave her. Nam, Lada and Fai leave Blew and Lom alone in the hospital room. Outside, Lada claims that something has changed between Lom and Blew, they look at each other like they are in love, bit Nam claims she probably imagined it, and Lom should know best, with Fai claiming nothing is impossible. Henri reports to Grace that all his guys have been killed by the police, and fears that if Blew was still alive when they return, all of their efforts would have been in vain. But Grance goes off on him and accuses him of chickening out and leaving the main job to those “muppets” that got killed. It is his responsibility to get the job done, she argues. Blew is having a hard time sleeping on hospital couch and is keeping Lom from falling to sleep. But Blew is secretly smiling and Lom smiles, too. Lom claims that she owes her life to Blew and will never forget what she kindly given her, but Blew doesn’t want anything in return and tells her to get some sleep, but Lom can’t sleep while her life savior is having a hard time on the couch, but Blew claims to be good there, but Lom still feels bad about it and Blew wants to know what she could do to make her sleep. The next day, Fai, Nam and Din come into the room to find Blew lying next to Lom in the hospital bed. They leave the room again, and Nam wants to know why the princess is sleeping next to Lom, with Din claiming she should be afraid to get beheaded and claiming she should wake her up, but Fai and Nam hold her back and tell her to calm down, with Fai adding there are some things she doesn’t need to understand. Nam claims it’s the crown princess of Madelin they are talking about, but Fai points out that she’s only known as Miss blew to the hospital staff. But Din doesn’t want Lom to regret it later, with Fai claiming that’s for the future to decide. The nurse is equally shocked to find them in bed together, but delivers food and medicine anyway, and Blew wants to help Lom with the food. Lom wants to eat by herself, but Blew insists on feeding her – and we get a flashback of Lom fawning over Blew on the island ending with Lom’s promise to get her to Madelin herself. As Blew is feeding Lom, the cousins return to ask them if they are all right, and Blew claims they are fine. After a bit of awkward silence, Blew wants to leave so the cousins can talk, and Fai volunteers to feed Lom in Blew’s stead, but Lom claims she can feed herself. Blew leaves the room, as Fai is teasing Lom that she looks so sad. Fai feeds her, but it isn’t the same as when Blew fed her earlier, Fai teases her. Lom wants to feed Fai, but she’s good, she claims. Meanwhile, Blew is sitting in the public area thinking about Lom’s and her time as Wind and Phatpha as Rose and Lada arrive and they let the cousins talk and sit next to her as the in-laws. 😊Rose wants to know if something is bothering her mind, and offers to help even if it’s something private, she argues her secret is safe with them. Blew wants to know what love is, and Rose claims that for her, it’s staying by each other’s side, complimenting, protecting and caring for each other, and be each other’s happiness on an ordinary day. For her, that person is Din, and Lada adds that a good love is something that makes one love oneself, she used to think that she could live on her own, but after she met Nam, she realized that she doesn’t always need to be strong or good at everything, there are times when she wants to cry, and Nam will always be there to support her. They ask Blew back, but she claims she doesn’t know, as she has never been in love before. She only loves her people (her subjects in Madelin) and so far has focused on her duty as a princess, so she doesn’t know how it feels like to be in love. But Lada tells her not to worry, when love comes to her, she will just know it. And Rose agrees. We switch to Normandy in France where Fah is waiting to meet Sebastian, Karel’s friend. She tells him that she got a personal message from Princess Blew to deliver to Karel, and after showing her a clip of Blew asking to trust Fah, he tells her that the prince is on his way to France, and promises to let her know when he arrives. Fah promises to report this back to Thailand and claims the princess will be happy to hear it. She asks him to keep this to himself, and Sebastian agrees. Henri is out of the uniform and taking matters into his own hands; with a few hired hands we walks through the wilderness to meet a guy near the border to Thailand who didn’t expect him to come by himself but he claims he had to because of those “muppets” and asks of the weapon he told him to prepare are all ready, and he confirms it. Lom is talking to her father who wants to tell her that the guys they beat on the island were all Thai, so they were hired help. He is looking into it whether there are any more of them. But Lom claims there must be a reason why they were able to track Lom and Blew down so easily. Wathit wants to know what she means, but we don’t get a continuation of their talk… …because the next day, Henri enters the hospital disguised as a doctor looking for Lom and Blew. He goes to Lom’s room, but find it empty and he looks around in the hospital, gets attacked by police force, but quickly deals with them and flees to a different floor with police in pursuit. He gets accosted, but it is his guy who tells him to hide there while he takes care of the rest. And he fakes an injury to send his colleagues the wrong way, then tells Henri it’s all clear. Henri wants to know how the cops found out that he’s here, and his guy doesn’t know, but claims he must get out before Wathit secures all the exits. He warns him that he will go down as well of Henri is captured, then leaves. And the guy who helped him runs into Lom… …and we get the second part of her talk with Wathit where she suspected chief Santi to be the traitor, and we get a montage of Santi popping up at Blew’s side from the very beginning. She gives him two choices: help them or walk straight to jail. Nam is dressed as a nurse having brought Blew out of the hospital, but the hitman escaped, with Wathit already checking security footage from every road leaving Surat Thani – and we get a flashback of Nam and Blew driving past Henri without him noticing. Wathit is waiting with Blew outside the hospital for Lom to bring them to a safehouse in Khao Yai (a Thai national park approximately 200km from Bangkok in central Thailand). When Lom arrives, he hands her some clothes for them, and he has secured an ambulance to mask their travel. There reach the safe house which has no phone, but the staff at the resort will light as SOS flare to let them know immediately if anything happens. Meanwhile, Santi meets Henri to tell him they don’t know yet where Lom went as Wathit is watching their every move, but Henri hands him a reward and give him three days to find out her location. He takes the money and will be in touch. Lom wants Blew to get some rest, but Blew has a question for her, and wants her to tell the truth. Lom promises it, and Blew tells her than Bua claimed that Lom likes her – is this true. She wants to hear it from her, and Lom hesitates to say it, and Blew thinks it’s inappropriate and tells her to forget it, but Lom holds her back and tells her she doesn’t just ”likes” her, and it might seems too soon fer her to say it since they just got to know each other, but she has absolutely no doubt about how she feels. She apologizes for not knowing her own place, and claims to keep telling herself that she doesn’t deserve to be with her, but whenever Blew’s near, she can’t help falling deeper and deeper: she loves her. ❤️Blew asks her how many loves she’s had before, claiming she knows that she’s dated many girls in the past, so, she just wants her to be sure whether it is love, or just a crush. Lom is sure that it is love. Blew genuinely appreciates how Lom feels about her, but she’s afraid she can’t return the feelings. 💔Lom claims just knowing that what she said didn’t make her feel upset or disdain already makes her content enough, and to her she will always be her last love whether it will come true or not. Later, Lom is sitting alone on the porch thinking about the confession and rejection, as Blew is thinking inside about it as well. Grace is preparing Helena as Blew, and she wants to know whether they will return to Madelin after this, but Grace claims they will return to Thailand and get rid of the real princess. Helena wants to know if Henri hasn’t already take care of that and why do they have to go, but Grace doesn’t trust Henri, as he has no resentment towards the royal family, and if he switches sides, her plan to take revenge will go down the drain. Helena wants to know what grudges she is holding against the royal family. But Grace just claims it’s none of her business, and tell her to do her best as the fake princess. And that’s where this longest episode to date ends. _____ That was a ride, and I understand that Blew isn’t sure about her feelings for Lom yet, but her rejection was heartbreaking. We got rid of the “C Team” as Henri is finally taking matters into his own hands, but Grace doesn’t trust her and will have plans to deal with Blew herself. Episode 7 is going to be amped up to the max as the two princesses will meet. The tour of Thailand continued this week as they went to Khao Yai national park, and we got all the cousins and cousins-in-law to participate. The question that Blew must answer for herself is seemingly simple: “What is love?” – and she can’t rely on Haddaway to tell her. 😊

I haven’t read book. Blew knew that she loved Lom, but Blew saw no path for them to be together without abandoning her country. Blew couldn’t do that. Lom’s confession didn’t cause the problem. It meant that Blew knew Lom’s feelings and could handle them immediately. Conversely, if Lom wasn’t in love with Blew, no harm no foul. Letting Lom believe that there was any reasonable possibility that they could be together would be more cruel. I’m assuming that Blew will go back to Madelin and that her father will see how miserable she is. Since both of the king’s children appear to have same sex commoner foreign “friends,” I presume that the king will help with their relationships.
