Episode 6 starts with the afterglow of Arisa and Lalin, as they are happy together, and Lalin claims Arisa is good at everything. Arisa is surprised for her to talk like that, but Lalin claims that it’s normal for a couple who is about to get married. And she gives her a necklace featuring a piano keyboard and a treble clef, and puts it onto her. Arisa likes it, and Lalin wants to know if she is really going to wake up to the sight of her every morning, and argues that since they met, everything feels exciting. So she likes it, Arisa asks, and as Lalin confirms it, she kisses her. After the credits, Weiling looks at some jewelry, as Wit comes in. She wants to know if he found any clues, but he claims he’s only found people who looked alike as before. She tells him to keep looking, as she believes they are still alive. But he tells her not to get her hopes up, as they’re gone for a long time. But Weiling is not giving up hope, and hopes to see them again while she’s still alive. Arisa and Lalin are making pre-wedding photos, and Arisa claims Lalin doesn’t have to look this beautiful, but Lalin argues that it’s just the bride’s glow, and didn’t she realize before how beautiful her girlfriend is? Later, Lalin can’t make up her mind which photos she should select, they are all beautiful. But Arisa wants her to just choose and argues that she trust her taste. And Lalin wants to select a photo where they both look good for fairness, she claims. But Arisa claims she looks good in all of them, and Lalin agrees. Arisa claims that she look that happy and Lalin claims that’s because they’re really getting married. And she argues that they went through a rough patch before and still have her mother to deal with. She thinks it’s like a movies, but Arisa argues that their life is even more dramatic than a movie plot, and her mother plays the villain. But Lalin argues that they have a happy endling because they are getting married with nothing standing in their way. But Arisa is deep in her thought until Lalin comes to her wearing a sexy night gown and trying to seduce her - which causes Arisa to laugh. But Arisa argues that she has already won her heart, so she doesn’t need to act sexy. Lalin wants to know what she thought about, and Arisa claims she only fears that one day, she might not love her anymore. But Lalin tells her not to worry because she will never leave her, and she is looking forwards to them living together. Arisa kisses her and agrees. Then, it’s the wedding and it’s a big event with Weiling and Ruwajee attending. And the reporter is taking shot of Ai as well, as the brides – Arisa in a white suit, and Lalin in a with dress wearing a veil – arrive to the tune of Pachelbel’s “Canon In D Major” and say their vows: Arisa claims the her name means the moon, shining in the night or when darkness consumes, Before she met her, her life was engulfed in darkness. But since they crossed paths, there never was a glimpse of darkness again. She promises that she will treasure this light for as long as she lives and claims she loves her. Lalin wants to thank her, and argues she has been thankful since the first day they met. She has changed her view on so many things and made her understand herself a lot more. She wishes to be with her for so long, for eternity, because every second she shares with her makes her so happy, and she loves her as well. They exchange rings, and kiss each other. And then, they share their first dance as “Canon in D major” continues. Weiling calls it a nice façade, but still doesn’t trust Arisa, and tells Wit to keep an eye on her, with Wit promising to try. Then, Lalin tries to cook something but gets splash with oil from the pan. She is okay, though, as Arise rushes to her side. Arisa wants to know why she didn’t leave it to the maid, but Lalin claims she wanted to show off her cooking, wanting to make a meal for her girlfriend (isn’t that her wife now?) to bring to work. But Arisa claims that doesn’t have to pamper her this much. She already has her whole heart, so what else could she possibly need? She argues that no one is a master at anything, but Lalin claims it’s just cooking, and Arisa will of course eat it. Lalin wants to go to Paris for their honeymoon. They should wear matching outfits and take pictures in front of the Eiffel tower, and Arisa claims anything she desires is fine, and she promises her to catch up on work quickly, so that they can go on their honeymoon the following month. They tease each other a little then Arisa gets a call from Ruwajee who wants to meet her. Then, it’s a board meeting at W empire and Weiling isn’t sure what the reason for this meeting is, but Wit also doesn’t know, only that it’s important. Ruwajee joins the meeting, and apologizes for the short notice, but she wants to announce a change for the shares. She trusts this anyone knows she barely meddles with the company. But as of today, she doesn’t need the dividends from her shares anymore and she transfers them to the person she trusts most – Arisa, who is now the majority owner of W empire. We get a flashback of Ruwajee signing over her shares for Arisa, as a wedding gift she argues, to do whatever she wants with them. All she asks is that Arisa takes care of Lalin. And Arisa doesn’t waste any time, but motions to dismiss Weiling as CEO as she accuses her of false accounting. Later, Lalin comes into her office, and wants to know why she’s doing this, and if that was her plan all along, to make Lalin fall in love with her and claiming she want’s a future with her. But in the end, this future belonged only to Arisa. She accuses her of only being with her because of W empire. But Arisa argues that this is between her mother and her and Lalin has nothing to do with it. But Lalin claims how can it not be about her, and argues she was just a pawn in her game. She has feelings, too, she claims, but argues that all she cares about is winning. Arisa claims that one day, she will understand why she did this, but Lalin doesn’t want to understand it anymore, and claims that Arisa doesn’t have the right to destroy her life like this. And she throws her wedding ring at Arisa and leaves. Later, Lalin visits her mother at home, and hugs her as she apologizes, and claims she didn’t think her wife would dare to do this. Weiling doesn’t want Lalin to blame herself, but Lalin argues she was stupid to fall for Arisa. Weiling claims it’s not her fault at all, but claims Arisa is smart to know all of her weaknesses, and she recount the deeds Arisa did and argues that she wanted to hurt her – but she didn’t just hurt her, she also hurt her daughter, and argues that it’s not just about business or money, it must be something personal. Lalin wants to know whether had any past problems, and has Weiling ever done anything to her. But Weiling claims she didn’t know her before, and she had someone look into her background, but found nothing on her. If she knew what she had done to her, she could make it up to her, she argues, but she has no idea. But Lalin wants her to leave it to her, she will find out Arisa’s motives. And Lalin goes to the reporter and asks her for her help, to look into Arisa, as she is a talented reporter, and already looking into her mother, she claims. She wants her to find out who Arisa really is. So, she wants her to look into the personal life of her new spouse, the reporter argues, and Lalin confirms it, claiming that Arisa came into her life to hurt her mother. The reporter tells her that her mother isn’t really a good person either, and argues that this kind of business must have left blood of her hands. But Arisa denies it, and claims to know her mother well, and she never killed anyone. The reporter wants to know what she knows about Arisa, and she admits she rarely told her about her family, but she knows her parents dies in an accident about 20 years ago. The reporter wants to know their names, and Lalin tells her they were names Thinnakorn and Saitharn. Then, the reporter gets a call and has to cover the news, but she should come with her, too, because her mother is in serious trouble. Weiling gets grilled because the protester outside her building has was run over with a car and is now in a coma. And a witness reported that her assistant tried to bribe him, but he refused. Weiling lets her lawyers explain the bribe, but vows she had nothing to do with the accident. She had never the intention of killing anyone. Later, the press grills her as well, and the reporter insinuates this has something to do with a protester named Chet dying two decades ago. But Weiling doesn’t answer any questions. Arisa and Weiling meet up, and Weiling wants to know what she wants, even blaming her for killing people. Does she even love Lalin, or is everything she does just to hurt her? But Arisa claims that Weiling is not the only one who has been hurt, and claims she must hart someone for things to turn out this badly. She is not one who sacrifices other people’s lives to get what she wants, she argues. Weiling doesn’t know what she is talking about, and wants her to be straight with her, promising to make up for it somehow. But Arisa argues that she must know what she is pointing at, or she has forgotten the dad things she did. She guesses that she needs to remind her, then, argues that what she’s facing right now is what she must pay for. With that, Arisa leaves, leaving Weiling dumbfounded. Lalin is at the stables again, talking to the horse, arguing that she won’t have time to visit that often in the future. And she’s crying as Arisa comes there as well, and cries as well as she sees Lalin being sad. But she leaves without saying a word. Later, Weiling is browsing there her photo album, as she suddenly feels unwell; she fetches some kind of medication from her drawer and takes it, as Lalin returns and also browses through the album. The first few photos are family pictures, but then Lalin encounters and old black-and-white photo of her mother with an unknown woman. She asks her who this person is, and Weiling admits that she was her best friend is the world, but she hasn’t met her in a long time. And she calls her Saitharn – the same name as Arisa’s mother… … and we get a flashback to Arisa and Lalin meeting her parents’ grave, and we see that her mother’s name was Saitharn Navakul (and the photo on the grave shows Um, Fahlada’s and Wan Viva’s mother 😊). Lalin argues that she has passed away a long time ago, but Weiling wants to know what she found out. The reporter finds out that Arisa’s father was a programmer, who died in their vacation home, and the press argued that his wife might have burnt to ashes. But Lalin argues that her mother thought Saitharn was still alive. Lalin wants to know if Arisa even knows that her mother is still alive. The reporter argues that if she is still alive, they need to find her before Arisa ruins Weiling. Lalin returns to Arisa calling her Mrs. Keethaphat, and wants to know if there is anything she wants to tell her. She asks her three times, but Arisa doesn’t want to tell her anything. Lalin scolds her for still not telling her the truth but claims she already knows everything – and she congratulates her for successfully ruining her mother, and hurting her in the process. She understands how excruciating it must have been, but she gets to be angry, she argues, for using her as a bridge to ruin everything in her life. She hopes that she’s happy getting her revenge. And she tells her that she should be sure her mother has really died. Arisa is devastated as Lalin leaves. The next day, Arisa holds a press conference for W empire, claiming that the company was not involved in causing severe injury to a protester. And as a result of an internal investigation, they have found concealed information which affects the company’s image and reputation, therefore Weiling has been dismissed as the CEO. There is evidence that connects someone from her inner to an attempted murder which might trace back to the deaths of Thinnakorn and Saitharn Navakul 20 years ago. And should this turn out to be true, those responsible will immediately be changed with murder. That information is false, claim Saitharn, her mother, who just comes in flanked by the reporter and Lalin. She is still alive, she claims. And on that bombshell, the episode ends. ____ This felt like three episodes in one – first the wedding, then the removal of Weiling and in the end the reveal that Arisa’s mother is still alive, and especially the “investigation” felt awfully rushed, and more like a soap opera turn of events. But this turns the series on its head, and we question what revenge Arisa wanted to dish out and why, when her mother was alive the whole time but chose to hide somewhere. And it leaves serious doubts on the real motives behind Mek’s role in Arisa’s life. The previews gave some indication as to whit might have happened – but I don’t trust anything anymore. We shall see next week. But I think the Paris trip is cancelled for now. 😉
