The episode starts with a flashback to 2019 with Ob-oom returning from her job as flight attendant – and she is envious on her twin sister who just live her life carefree, she couldn’t do that because she fears grandma would worry. But Ai-oon suspects this praise is a scolding in disguise, and surely enough Ob-oom calls her a lousy sister next, for making grandma worry about her. Ai-oon – who thinks no one cares about her and she is unimportant – rejects that claim and the request from Ob-oom to become a better person, saying no matter what she does, she can’t be Ob-oom. Later, she gets another rejection from a job interview, and subsequently loses the letters of application; she believed she cursed by her more successful sister. Then, we return to the scene from last week, where May got a visit from the ex-girlfriend Ploy. Her feelings of inadequacy flare up as Ploy is obviously rich and successful, and presents May with a huge bouquet whereas Ai-oon can only gift May a single rose. She wants to leave, but May is notified of her presence and is happy that she is there. They all sit down at a table and it feels like a war zone, but May reassures Ai-oon that Play and her are just friends and broke up long ago. So, her girlfriend is just Oom – but Ploy is sceptical because none of May’s friends know about Oom, but May say she didn’t want to tell about her for fear that someone might snatch her up. Then, the discussion moves on to food. Play suggests a favourite of May’s, a (presumably expensive) salad place, but Ai-oon wants to treat May to some street food instead, and is happy to bring it to May and her friends. But she doesn’t have enough cash for the order and must wash dishes for the place, before returning with the food. This unfortunate episode has not escaped Ton’s attention who went out and got a coffee while waiting for the food. Then, Ai-oon returns with a large selection of street food and presents it to May, but the corn salad contains green beans, something which May detests, and Ploy scolds Ai-oon for not knowing May’s food preferences. Then, a delivery arrives; Ploy had ordered from the salad place, anyway. May still wants to try Ai-oon’s delivery, but Ai-oon is giving up, saying she should eat Ploy’s food. May then decides she doesn’t want to eat at all anymore. The conversation moves on to the reason Ploy is here; she wants to open up a business and awaits a reading from a fortune teller for 100.000 Baht (circa 3000 USD) , making Ai-oon feel inadequate again. She tunes out of the dinner conversation and instead opt to eat some of the dishes she bought from the street food vendor. Later, Ploy suspects ulterior motives with Ai-oon, suspecting she has something to gain from her relationship with May. She returns that May may love her, but that alone is not going to make it. If she can’t take good care of her, she should let May find someone better. Later, only May and Ai-oon are still present, but Ai-oon says she’s leaving too. But May senses that Ai-oon feels inferior to Ploy, saying she should never that way. But Ai-oon want to leave anyway. May says that what other people think isn’t as important as what she thinks of herself. She leaves her to think about that. Later, while cleaning her motorcycle together with her ex, Kosol theorizes, that Ai-oon puts May up on a pedestal – this can be a good thing, if it makes her wanting to be a better person; this is a change for Ai-oon, who previously accepted Oom as the better person by default. This leads Ai-oon to resume the idea she had last episode; she borrows Ob-oom’s laptop and starts writing a story. She falls asleep while writing it, leading grandma to cover her with a blanket. So, she cares and worries about Ai-oon as well… The next day, Pang is meeting up with Pim, accidentally at the place where they met for the first time roughly a year ago (which Pang forgot). Pim doesn’t want to break up, but Pang doesn’t want to lie to her anymore – she’s always liked Ai-oon, and regardless of what Ai-oon feels for her, and she doesn’t think it’s fair to keep Pim hanging, so she opts for a clean break. Meanwhile Ai-oon is at the breakfast still typing away; grandma is thinking about cleaning Ob-oom’s flat, but doesn’t scold her for borrowing her sister’s laptop. This lead to a flashback where kid Ai-oon steals and later burns her sister’s children’s book. Ai-oon promises to herself to fix this injustice once Ob-oom awakes. At the same time, May is dressing up and applying makeup for her girlfriend with help from Ton. Pang awaits Ai-oon at her room, asking her if she unfriended her because of the revelation. She tells her that she broke up with Pim, Ai-oon replies that this will not suddenly make her like Pang. But Pang just wants to be friends again, which, according to Ai-oon, they were the whole time. But she maintains she had to break up with Pim – because she didn’t want to keep lying to Pim, giving Ai-oon a not-so-subtle reminder that she is living a lie with posing as Ob-oom. May calls Ai-oon, she doesn’t pick up, but when May texts “I miss you”, she can’t help it and calls her back. She said she worked on self-improvement – and started to write a story for May, but hit a block. When May asks her when Ai-oon is the most productive, she admits it’s when she’s with May. May invites her to her house, then. 😉 Meanwhile, Pim is arguing on the phone with a delivery service as Jan comes along; she offers her part of her delivery which has arrived. Ai-oon has brought along the laptop with a reader app, and the first draft of her novel. It’s not bad, but something is missing. Pim and Jan are eating pizza; as Pim notices a plant which reminds her of getting to know Pang, she breaks down crying. Ai-oon has boarded a bath a May’s request; May tries to indecently touch Ai-oon (which she excuses with “I can’t see” 😈) Ai-oon wonders what the bath should do to her writing ability. May wants to de-stress Ai-oon; she says her text just lacks euphonia – her words sound too dry. As May continues to touch her, Ai-oon starts to feel something – arousal? inspiration? – afterwards, she writes much better. I just not enough for a whole chapter – May then promises her a reward for each completed chapter and asks what kind of reward Ai-oon would want; she’s wants a kiss. They continue this kind of heavy flirting until the episode ends. We then get a product placement for a cleansing liquid. ___ After last week’s information dump with lots of backstory, this episode puts the focus back on the relationships – mainly between Ai-oon and May, plus Pang and Pim (and Jan). After a rough start with Ploy, May and Ai-oon continue their dance. I too think that May must somehow know that she is not talking to her (former) girlfriend, the differences between what we know of Ob-oom and what we see of Ai-oon are just too vast. The main question now is: will Ai-oon have sex (they are clearly moving it that direction) with May without telling her the truth? I guess only time will tell. 😊
