November 1st devlog! (Mostly Cooper still)

Hey everyone, a quick word from me, Tib!

I'm currently in the process of making the combat for Cooper so there's actual gameplay, and once that's done, the only thing really left to do is the NPCs. Once I'm done with that, Sephra will have most of the tools he needs to work on the game more or less alone, and during this time, I can go back to Predation.

I won't explain too much as I've already talked about our plans before, but Predation is NOT cancelled in any way, we just simply need a side project to both avoid creative burnout and to hopefully have something to give to our supporters meanwhile.

For now I'll give it over to Sephra and with some new art!

Howdy everyone,

Work continues as the weather starts to close in around here, mostly focusing on character work for me so we can have some varied enemies to play with before long; all of these are going to be first area sorts of enemies, relatively unthreatening (though keeping away from groups is definitely advised) apart from Cooper's friend there Nat who, as of those renditions anyway, is not currently under the pink eyed influence.

It's been great fun, figuring out the sorts of characters I want to put in and trying to think why they'd be attending the party etc. While trying to keep in mind some vague sense of threat progression throughout; you might notice for example no wolves or horses or large, typically dangerous members of the animal kingdom like that so far, and while I do intend to put them in pretty soon I want to make sure we have some good varieties of weaker foes. I figure we'll likely mix and match as the game advances but I don't want to jump straight to predators at the outset and lose that particular flavor you get when you lose to an enemy you had no business losing to etc. But yes, all this to say there will be a variety that might not be reflected in the hooved creatures you see before you xD

Intro slides and defeat slides are also being worked on, moving from thing to thing and back again, and oh boy once I can start rigging up that Opossum with some moves and testing it out I will be a very happy lizard indeed!

Until then though I'll get back to drawing furries, the other thing that makes me very happy indeed, and as always I appreciate you sticking around to read my disjointed crap and wait for the stars to align on my brain and something worthwhile come out etc. Happy Halloween to you all, and hopefully November won't be too chilly! Keep rubbing them hands for warmth :)
