Day 5 of the September Challenge is here! 🎉

Throughout September, I’m challenging myself to release ONE NEW 3D PRINTABLE MODEL EVERY DAY - 30 new models in 30 days for KOGI3D members! 🚀

For Day 5/30, meet my new Colorful Articulated Lizard! 🦎🌈

This time I wanted to create something with plenty of movement and lots of opportunities to play with color. The lizard features a fully articulated body, giving it a natural flexible movement that's fun to pose and handle.

The four legs print separately from the body and are attached after printing. This gives the legs much more freedom to move and makes it possible to create more natural and expressive poses instead of having them fixed in a single print-in-place position.

And, of course, the pattern was designed with multicolor printing in mind — experiment with different filament combinations and make every lizard completely different! 🎨🦎

🖨 Recommended Print Settings

  • Printer: FDM

  • Layer Height: 0.15 mm

  • Infill: 10–15%

  • Walls/Perimeters: 2

  • Supports: ❌ Not required

  • Brim: Optional

  • Material: PLA recommended

  • Nozzle Temperature: 210–220°C

  • Bed Temperature: 55–60°C

The main body prints fully articulated, while the four legs are printed separately and attached afterward.

Printing the legs separately gives them more freedom of movement, allowing you to adjust their position and create more natural-looking poses once the lizard is assembled. 🦎

🎨 Make It Your Own

This model is especially fun to experiment with using different filament colors!

Try natural reptile-inspired combinations, bright tropical colors, or go completely wild with your own patterns. I'd love to see all the different versions you come up with! 🌈
