The Problems Facing Back 4 Blood
Following its announcement at the 2020 Game Awards, Back 4 Blood had a closed alpha playtest in the middle of December last year with a large enough player base to easily find matches and experience the game a little over six months before release. The playtest, although popular, turned many people off the game due to the differences between Left 4 Dead and itself with B4B appearing to position itself as the mechanical next generation. However, some problems observed in gameplay have caused many, including myself, to question if the game could be finished in six months, a conversation all well and good for the game overall, if it were not for other forces taking actions that give, the impression that this game will not last a few months, regardless of how mechanically sound it may be. Back 4 Blood’s alpha test was riddled with failures, many of which was not Turtle Rock’s fault.
