Group Chat?
Since I started the Patreon I wanted to have a group chat where my more passionate supporters could collaborate with me and chat directly in a more communal environment, but I thought the channel was too small at the time.
However, I think now there might be enough people interested in creating a discord server.
I have never run a server before (but been part of quite a few) and I am curious what you guys would like to have as part of a group chat/discord server?
I imagine a place where we could share recipes, talk about travel and language. I could ask for direct feedback on video ideas from you and just create a general place to "chill" together. I would like to have a free portion and paid sections for my patreons (especially the trident tier so I can share more Ukraine specific news) and maybe more as the server grows.
What do you guys think? What would you like to see from a server?
Thanks! <3

Discord is at this Point in Time the very best Way to harbor and maintain a lovely close Community. I'm a Twitch & Discord Mod for Years now, and i can only endulge it. Of course you need a few trusty Minds to bring the Trash out and keep a civilized Athmosphere. ESPECIALLY if you are openly and in public pro- Ukraine, because the Russian Tankee's, Vatnik's and of course Russian Bot's will try to invade and disturb the Peace. It's very important to clearly state a Set of Rules for the Discord Server right at the Beginning and show it at the joining of new Member's. For the Difficulty of maintaining and running a Discord- Server: Yeah even an old drunk like me can manage it, its basically IRC from the early 2000's but you dont need to memorize Commands, its very nice explained and easy to maintain.
I think I would keep the channel invite only for the start, at least until I have the bones of the server sorted, then possibly open it to the public. But if I am getting harassed by Rus-Bots I imagine it means I have hit some minimal degree of success :D
I think it's a good idea. I enjoy cooking and love to talk anything Ukraine.
I would love it! Especially the possible travel and language discussion area :D and custom emojis maybe? idk what we would have but I'm sure we could figure out something fun!
I am planning on making a video about language in the near future :) So hopefully after that it can be a part of the channel soon...ish.
I would love to see a discord server. I agree with the need for a recipe channel and a chat channel. You can bots that work with your YT channel that would let everyone know when you post new videos or go live. I discovered you through the Tasting History with Max Miller Discord Server
I think it would also be interesting to hear what people are cooking and just share different preferences and thoughts on food, would certainly help me expand my horizons culinarily. Interesting that I was mentioned by the audience of a channel so large, hopefully he will reach out so we can do a video together :D
I would ask that there be a channel for recipes and a channel for chat at the least.
There would for sure be a space to share recipes/pics/tip/etc about food and cooking :)
I think there is value in a Discord server even if it sits silent for days with 4 members inside, as YouTube algorithms are strange and your channel can become much more popular in an instant even with no apparent reason. Moderating a populated server can be a challenge, though. And a lot of work too. So it's an investment of sorts.
God willing the algorithm will finally smile on me and the channel will actually grow :D Would love to have those problems :)
