Еще неделя
Не успел проделать пока что работу в Солитьюде, ее здесь слишком много. Потребуется еще одна неделя, но на этот раз уже точно, потому что все самое трудоемкое позади. Остались незначительные правки в сценах, в тексте, некоторые ошибки исправить, и перевод - надо перевести весь текст из новых сцен, а также тот, где я исправлял или перерабатывал, его немало и еще добавится.
У меня также были некоторые житейские проблемы связанные с электричеством в доме, которые надо было срочно решать, так что я не мог всю неделю работать над модом. И вдобавок потерял один день из-за того, что забыл о том, что в английской версии Brewmasterhal при переводе адаптировал текст ветки Вигги согласно своему видению, и там отличается текст от оригинала. А я проделал правки в тексте, вдобавок я поменял местами структуру диалогов, и сцены начал править, когда вспомнил об этом моменте. Если бы я просто перевел эти строки, они бы по смыслу не подошли, а учитывая то, что изменилась местами и структура, восстановить текст для меня было бы непосильной задачей, или заняло бы много времени. Так что у меня было два варианта:
1) Изменить каждую строку в ветке Вигги, чтобы сбить связи в словаре и перевести заново.
2) Откатиться к бекапу.
Я выбрал второй вариант, потому что подумал, что за это время все привыкли уже к текущему варианту, к тому же мой перевод хоть и ручной но нейро-сетевой, что конечно же значительно хуже, чем перевод от носителя языка. Так что в ветке Вигги я только местами поправлю ошибки, заранее выписывая себе вариант перевода из словаря на эти строки, чтобы потом во время перевода их подставить.
В общем, буду доделывать оставшееся.

You are referring to the dialogs that occur in the scene when the player wakes up after the date and Viggi is having sex with her? I thought it was odd that for player characters with Karma values as low as 0, her reaction came off as "oh well, things like this just happen" originally. I remember that making changes to that scene was the hardest translation I ever worked on for Thief, because I had to not only change half of the dialog so much to make the lower Karma values react in a way that aligned more with my expectations, but also there were many phases when all four Karma levels used the same single line of dialog, so I had to ensure that it still made sense for both "you're raping me, get off right now" and "surprise butt sex, my favorite thing" and everything in between. I do recall that there was one post on LL about how much I had changed the scene, asking for a patch that reverted the changes. I never finished that, but someday when I re-visit the translation for a final version it's something that I still intend to do. I think I discussed this in the thread at the time. Since the date skips to the sex scene, it isn't clear if Viggi took advantage of her or if she decided to give him a chance, before falling asleep. It's open to interpretation, of course, and it makes sense to think she was raped but I particularly didn't get that impression from the original. In the new translation, Viggi is treated as a bastard and way more mischievous (there is also a part with the Argonian potion when he blackmails the heroine iirc). But considering the following scenes, helping him, etc. And the fact that he becomes an ally, I assumed the tone could have been more "light hearted" like the original and that he managed to convince her with words or that he is suprisingly good at bed. That said, I know translation is not easy, so I'm glad we got it anyway.
