I love how the flayed one is just forcing the door open to aura farm when it could just use the ghost wind to get in instead. also it would be entertaining if mara got rescued from this by the overlord who wanted her to judge his painting.

Considering that Mara has experience with SoB, and two different sets of space marines, this isn’t even necessarily AU. She might have gotten saved here. Could easily see this being part of her experience with the Iron hands, and she just escapes their notice for whatever reason as well.
Honestly it's a solid idea. It's a shame it doesn't work against dark eldar, they csn bring yoi back from the dead to torment you for eternity.
So… who would Mara (at least the next one) would have next? Dark Eldar?

Y'know, I'm choosing to believe this means she ends up a temporary exhibit in Trazyn's many collections, before stumbled upon by a Tau expedition which lets her out, and thus the story begins anew... With the caveat of Trazyn being amused enough to every so often check in on his wayward human.
