Why there’s a Patreon for KSS2.

KSS2 has always been a passion project first.

A lot of people see the end result, the planets, the visuals, the scale of it all, but much of the work happens in the background: designing systems, reworking old content, testing, balancing, improving visuals, fixing issues, and slowly building something that feels coherent and worth exploring.

That takes a lot of time, and it also comes with costs. A good part of the support here goes back into the programs and tools I use to make KSS2 possible.

Just to be clear though: KSS2 itself is not paid content. The mod is not locked behind Patreon. Patreon is simply there for people who want to support the work behind it and help keep development moving.

I also wanted a place where people who care more deeply about KSS2 can follow development a bit more closely through previews, dev posts and behind-the-scenes updates.

So that’s really it. No inflated promises, no nonsense. Just a straightforward way to support the project, help cover some of the tools behind it, and keep KSS2 moving.
