Jump - The Ryan Retro frontend! v1
HELLO EVERYONE! Today is a great day because I can share with you what I've been working on for a while! Lately I've been trying many frontend launchers for Android and I will continue to do so for the foreseeable future but they all don't quite give me what I want which is a really easy way to get started and jumping into my games.
I am a big fan of many frontends already like ES-DE, Cocoon, Cannoli, Socket etc and you'll see me continuing to feature them on my channel. But I often find myself spending so long setting them up that I don't play games much (setting up is also fun though so it's okay haha).
So what I'm setting out to do here with Jump is to give you a frontend that practically sets up itself and lets you JUMP right into the action!
Just point it to your ROMs folder and it'll grab artwork for you automatically - no ScreenScraper accounts, no payments, super fast and easy. I'm continuing to grow the art library so let me know what is missing. It should be much faster than ScreenScraper or the alternatives.
It's based on real media. Boxes on shelves or cd towers, carts, discs, all the real stuff we picked up when we were ready to play a game.
If you have a handheld with 2 sticks, shoulder buttons and triggers, pretty much every button is mapped to something so try them out!
I've added searching, favorites, recents, dual screen support, themes, etc etc. I've really worked on this a lot. But it's version 1 so there will probably be issues so let me know how to improve it!

Ryan, my games won't open. Do you have a video showing how to set up the front end?
Huge fan of this app, I left iiSu & cocoon for it. Ryan, might I suggest an option to toggle off the other display options if we want only one. For example: showing only grid while having tower & bookshelf off.
I'm really liking it so far. Do you have a dedicated spot for feedback/bug reports?

I love the simplicity, exactly what I've been looking for. I've installed it on my konkr pocket fit and enjoying it, only problem for me is that it doesn't recognise my mario karts 8 game file for the switch. Is this because I've got mk8 in a folder of its own, within the switch roms folder? Good work though Ryan!
I'm still collecting all the art so it may be missing from my database. The art for that game is called 'Mario Kart 8 - Deluxe (World)' so maybe try renaming your game to that and see if it helps. I think it needs the word 'Deluxe' at the end. I'll add an alias so it'll work without for tonight's update!
Ahhhh!!!! This is cool! I plan on putting this on the RP5 and replace ES-DE that ive been using. Thanks Ryan for this awesome achievement!
