EVERYTHING might BE BROKEN (a heads up)
I've seen so many people post about this today... It seems the newest update broke all mods created by other creators, and they also say even some cc are broken too.
It is recommended not to update the game or play with any cc/mods until the Sims team finds a fix for this issue.
I haven't even opened the game myself cuz it updated automatically w/o me noticing, and as someone who plays w THOUSANDS of mods, I'm too scared to even check my game..
PLEASE DO: if you noticed that any of my cc is broken, pls comment under this post OR wait for me to check it myself after the next patch update (bare w me yall ;-;)
*not: on reddit, someone pointed out that 'it could be a bug with how the game reads the mods folder, as opposed to an issue with our mods and cc...modders are waiting to see if it is an issue EA side. Obviously, they can't fix anything until this is confirmed.'

sooo i have a friend who updated her game and encountered this issue, but she told me that going to options > allowing custom mods > then restarting the game brings them back. im not entirely sure if it actually works considering she uses around 200 mods while my own mods folder is coming close to about 3000.. im too scared to update my game and see if this works. this seems like a very obvious solution + its too good to be true so someone needs to take one for the team and try it out </3
'ptions > allowing custom mods > then restarting the game' is the usual thing to do after every update but this time the issue was that many cc looked broken or didnt work at all even with mods enabled. But Ive heard they released a patch fix and the issue is fixed now, will check it for myself today to see if its true
just opened the game before seeing anything about how its breaking everything LMAO ur Kpop poster cc is broken for me sadly :(

Thanks for the info. I mad cause I received after my game updated on it's on even with the do not autoupdate. Let me tell you when I logged into my game I thought I was robbed. Then notifacations started blowing up my phone. So thanks , cause I thought I had lost my mind.

Check your trash bin! Unless you emptied your trash bin, you should still have your mods on your pc/laptop
mine automatically updated and i freaked out bc none of my mods/cc were there it fucked me tho bc sims 4 is my main go to boredom cure at the moment. and i hatttteeee sims 4 no mods/cc

Thanks for letting us know and know that they updated the game again! I really wish they would stop updating it and just leave it alone ffs. I have TS4 on Steam, do you know how to prevent it from updating on there?
Sadly you can’t it usually one click then it updates, but maybe you can turn on offline mode?
