Status Update #61 - May 10, 2026

It is absolutely nuts how fast Sundays creep up on me every week. I feel like I just wrote the last one yesterday. I blink, and a week is gone. So it goes.

I actually did get a lot more writing done in the past seven days; I remain confident that I can be done with this portion of the process this month, and then hopefully release next month, fingers crossed. Once the writing is done and I am actively seeing the finish line I think I'll be much more fit to put in long hours of work than I have been the last little while. I'd be absolutely shocked if this update doesn't end up being bigger and longer than the last one, I've really gotten overly ambitious with the scope of the second episode and I hope that ends up showing. Episode Three down the line might end up being a bit more intimate, story wise, but then again, I really can't say that with any confidence at the moment XD.

The Steam release might actually be pretty soon; I'm all done censoring the version of the game that has been playtested and checked over by my publishers, so it's now just a matter of time. It's a little embarrasing for me to admit, but they actually pointed out that both Dragana and Branislava's sprites have been visibly lower-res than everyone else's this whole time, which I sort of noticed, but also sort of didn't. Kind of an "am I going insane?" vibe. Regardless, this has been fixed and will be rectified in the next release, hence today's preview image! (no, not actually dialogue from the game, but these two will interact atop this exact background)
