Status Update #53 - March 15, 2026

Work on the game continues at the same pace; as I mentioned last week, I'm still censoring the game for a Steam release, a process which will hopefully be finished in a day or two. I've also been plotting out the remaining events that need to be written for this release so that I can make the process as smooth as is possible. All the art should be complete in a month or so based on the schedule I've drawn up, and I'd like the game to be as ready as possible when that happens. I'd really like to make a May release happen, as I am cognizant of the fact that it's already been a good long while since the last update. My biggest goal is for the wait between pt. 2 and pt. 3 to be significantly shorter without sacrificing quality; now that I'm getting used to this whole process, it should be achievable.

I continue to introduce new characters in these status updates; this week, it's Ursula, Davor Quinza's wife and Branislava's stepmother. This character was originally intended to exist entirely offscreen, but I soon changed my mind after I realized how integral she'd be to the Quinza storyline in episode 2. Her condescending and elitist attitude appears to contrast with the woman Branislava thought she knew...but perhaps she's only now meeting the real Ursula for the first time? Time will tell!

I'm actually bucking tradition here, as I resolved to only feature natural hair colours in the game from the start. However, I simply couldn't picture this character with any natural shade for whatever reason, so I arrived at a compromise. Her hair is indeed lavender, but she dyes it in-universe, so the kayfabe is maintained!

That's all from me for now; thanks so much for your support as always!
