Frequently Asked Questions Take 2
A bonus video this week where we answer your questions at 6.5 knots on our sail down to Port Macquarie. I actually start to feel a bit sea sick towards the end - if you watch closely you can see my downfall after I have to adjust positions from getting wet!
Hope you enjoy it and as usual this video has not attracted a contribution from you guys.
Much respect
Pascale

Hey team - I think I might be out of sync with your video timeline. When did you sail from Port Mac to Port Stephens? Did you call into Broughton Island (I think from the sound of one post you may have passed it at night....broken boom)?
Hi Chris and welcome to the crew! We are currently in Sydney, our videos are about 2 months behind (but we're slowly catching up!) Next week's video sees us sailing into Port Macquarie. We did call into Broughton Island (after we repaired the boom) and we went spearfishing there, I think that video should be out after Port Mac video but we haven't edited it yet. Cheers Pasc
I kept watching the line hoping a fish would hit your bait! Great video, as always. I really enjoy your work - which you make look like mostly play. How's your boom?
Thanks mate. The boom is doing great. We got some 20 knot wind to test it in and all looking good. More gusty conditions tomorrow!
We were hoping that a fish would grab the lure mid chat- that would have broken the spell!
:)
Morning guys, I’m very interested in coastal foraging including marine vegetation. Just wondering if I have missed a more tropical seaweed video or information you may have come across. Sorry for being so forward but I feel like we’re old friends and I have learnt a Lot from you already. Thanks for including us in your lives.
No Ron, we didn't really cover eating seaweeds in the north. Most seaweeds are edible as long as they are thicker than your hair with a very few highly unpalatable exceptions but not all have a suitable texture or they may be very strongly flavoured. We sampled a few and found some nice ones but didn't include it a lot in our diet. We are just now drying kelp to grind to powder as a condiment and this is a very good way to use those weeds that are a bit tough but have nice flavour.
