Swanson 36 are really sturdy yachts I raced against them in the eighties on an S&S34 and they always seemed a good sea boat. S&S34's are BRILLIANT but not sure if they will have enough room for long term cruising for two people. S&S34's have such a pedigree, Jessica Watson, Lionheart with Jesse Martin solo circumnavigations, Peri Banou with Jon Sanders Double Solo Circumnavigation and still really competitive racing.
Yes we like the look of the Swanson 36s we've been on a friend S&S34 and agree it probably will be a little small for us as a long term boat - the for's'cle cabin doesn't really fit Troy!
Some good videos lately. I going to practice the truckies knots. Also we watch the streaming episode yesterday and again happy with the tips we have picked up. Swanson 36 is another vessel you could consider for the future. Any tips to construct a hard dodger, ie website but please don’t feel obliged to answer. We have enjoyed your journey up north and wetted my appetite to visit some of these places ourselves. Take care and cheers
Cheers Marc. Troy made the dodger out of ply in the stitch and glue method. We'll dig up some photos and I'll post them on the Wall of it under construction.

Be safe. Yes, we all love your vids but don’t get burned out. Take a day or two off and goof off without the camera.
Thanks Scott we're pretty exhausted it was a slog down the coast. Didn't get the camera out as much was pretty monotonous! Sailing head to weather for 5 weeks was hard enough work
So proud of you guys! You do an awesome job - thanks!
You are getting into one of our favorite places on earth, the Queensland coast. Especially the Whitsundays. Have fun, and lots of video!
Cheers David we look forward to sharing it with you!
Fairwinds Troy & Pascale, already looking forward to your tales from this next part of the adventure! I 've plenty of varnishing to keep me busy until you're back ! Ha!
Thanks Jack a pretty hectic trip to windward but a few adventures. Cairns refit next, we'll arrive there tomorrow. I'll be having some sanding painting and varnishing of my own to do and Troy has a HEAP of improvements and repairs planned! Hopefully we can fit it all in the allotted 4 weeks.
Have fun storming the castle kids! ( Er, I mean have fun and stay safe. See you on the other side :-) )
Troy you rival L Hiddens and H Butler but neither of them had a Pascale. Beer and vegies from raw seed. Incredible.
Troy's pretty thrilled by the comparison! We'll arrive in Cairns tomorrow and look forward to meeting you Fred.
I am still of a mind that your Vlogs are the best out there. You epitomized the essence of cruising on a budget and having all the fun. Please keep it going. I am your biggest fan!
Thanks Richard!
Be safe out there and have fun!
Safe voyage to you!
:)
Bon Voyage! fair winds and good fishing.

Thanks Geoff plenty of Tuna, Spanish Mackerel and Queenies came aboard we didn't go hungry....
