A White Christmas? Episode 28

We spend our final week at the Wessels Islands hunting and feasting on seafood. We sail down the island chain and navigated the Cumberland Strait which had some pretty crazy tidal rips!

Lots of cooking in this one - hope you're not too hungry after watching!

Cheers Pascale

The SV Delos captain Brian reports there are not very many fish on their sails as of late. It seems like there are plenty of fish in your extremes so maybe this is just the result of a lot of fishing pressure in the oceans Indian, Atlantic, Mediterainian, some Pacific Oceana Islands

There will definitely be more pressure on stocks there. I haven't watched their episodes so I can't comment on the techniques they use but some things are more effective than others. We always run into sailors who can't catch fish even here!

Love the innovation guys... improvise, adapt, overcome comes to mind. Wind vane auto pilot and brewing beer on a fire creekside in the Kimberly. Some of the best pioneering I think ive seen since the old In the bush with Malcom Douglas. Keep up the good work!

Fresh caught seafood, a great cook who knows how to utilize them in a tasty way .... mmmmm ... had my mouth watering for your Christmas dinner. It's so nice to see someone enjoying the outdoors and nature as it is without a fancy trapping .

Hey guys. I have gone away from braid also. It’s too savage for the strike on smaller fish. I haven’t caught a single sand whiting on braid either. On mono though it works a charm.
