Mid-February Progress Report

I was contacted by the platform regarding an issue with the illustration and was asked whether I would make it paid or remove it, so I decided to delete it for now.
These concept illustrations are planned to be included as attachments when the work is put up for sale.

Thank you for your patience. I apologize for the delay in this update.

At present, I am working on the event for the third room in the lower area.
The lower section will feature several gameplay mechanics, as well as a boss battle.

Additionally, players will first encounter hints regarding an upgrade to the Nest within this area. Once implemented, this enhancement will make it significantly more convenient to use than before.

The goals I aim to complete within this month are as follows:

• Finishing development up to the fourth area (bringing overall progress to 4/9 of the total).

• Adding and implementing one additional guard unit.

• Renovating the base and introducing new features.

I am continuing development with these objectives in mind.

The video shown was recorded some time ago, and patrol routes and related events for the crew have already been implemented since then.

As there is currently limited visual material and information suitable for sharing, I will use this opportunity to introduce one of the characters appearing in the project.

She was the very first main character to be created.

Possessing the temperament of a mad scientist, she prioritizes any subject of research that captures her interest above all else. Ethical considerations are readily cast aside if they stand in the way of her pursuit. Once fixated on a line of inquiry, she devotes herself to it entirely.

On this voyage, she serves as the ship’s medical officer while also overseeing the preservation of genetic material deemed essential for the continuation of humanity.

When she first discovered the alien lifeform, her intention was to thoroughly examine it and ultimately preserve it as a specimen. However, upon realizing that the alien possessed intelligence sufficient to comprehend language, she began to regard it as a far more valuable research subject.

Further investigation revealed that the alien is biologically compatible with humans and capable of absorbing and reconstructing genetic material. This discovery led her to perceive it not only as a potential hope for humanity, but also as a fascinating subject in terms of its evolutionary trajectory.

For this reason, she deliberately allows crew members to be attacked in order to stimulate and observe the alien’s evolution. Ultimately, she is willing to see everyone aboard the ship—including herself—become hosts, if it means witnessing the alien’s fully evolved form.

It was through her character that the overall direction, gameplay structure, and narrative foundation of this project were established.

At times, the Doctor is even more proactive than the alien itself—so much so that there are moments when the alien is taken aback by her intensity.

This is the kind of character she is.

This isn’t related to game development, but something I’ve been wanting finally arrived at my home. I’m very happy.
