SMT Beta v0.4.3 - Linux Support
I have now finished my penultimate year at university, so I have the summer free to continue work on the mod at a pace I previously was too busy to maintain. There's some really cool stuff in the works for future updates, I'll be making a progress update post soon to showcase some of that, and get your thoughts on the implementation. For now, here's the latest update, featuring Linux support!
As always, thank you all for your continued support on this project, I hope you enjoy the update, and I'm excited to show you what's coming soon.
Added Linux compatibility
Changed networking ports to avoid conflicts
Fixed players appearing frozen during air dodge
Fixed animation cycle for players wall running
Fixed enemies not dying to stealth melee takedowns
Fixed players appearing invisible under certain conditions
Fixed crash that could occur when entering the subway
Fixed players appearing frozen in place temporarily after opening the map
Added check for potential duplicate mod DLLs on startup
Added mod version text in title menu
Added /help command, /help will list all available commands, /help <command> will list the usage and information about a specific command
Added option to cancel connecting to a session
Text chat can now be closed by a controller by pressing the pause button
For those wanting to play on Linux, you must configure wine to load the proxy winmm.dll manually. You can do this through winecfg, or you can set your Steam launch args to:
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="winmm=n,b" %command% -nolauncher -mp
This will cause the game to launch into multiplayer by default, if you'd like to instead use the SMT launcher to manually launch into multiplayer, you can remove '-mp' from the launch args.
Please keep in mind this mod is still in active development! Bugs and crashes are to be expected! If you do encounter any issues, please join the discord, where you can find support for fixing problems, and report any crashes you encounter so I can fix them.
