This one is wide open for interpretation, but here are my thoughts.

I just finished. The show left me with some questions about the mechanics. Where are all the memories stored? Clearly they can move around. Are they capable of human emotion anymore? Do they feel a sense of urgency? Is retransmission really the ONLY goal? You couldn't possibly put 7 billion people on that project. So there must be SOMETHING else they're working towards. Do they still appreciate art? Can they still create art? Why do they shudder when they get yelled at? If they don't fight lions or bears, won't we get new predators? They have no reason to be afraid. Free lunch.
Great video but I have to push back on the last point. Just because something is intentional doesn’t mean that it’s good. The pacing problem isn’t that it takes too long to pour juice, it’s that it takes 40 minutes to accomplish what could realistically be done in 10, wasting time that it doesn’t have. There are what feel like filler episodes in a 9 episode season.
I agree with you in principle, but thats not quite what I said. I was careful to say its “not a failure” - in other words, regardless of whether you think its good or bad, intentionality necessarily means it’s a success on its own terms. Has nothing to do with anyone thinking its good or bad, if that makes sense.
