The Dragon Dress | Sewing Vlog
Guess what I FINALLY FINISHED? It took dozens of hours of embellishing, so it seems fitting that this would end up being my longest video ever! Almost an hour long!
That being said, I skipped filming a lot of steps - this was a very self indulgent project that I debated not filming at all. What I did film was more about embellishing this dress than constructing it (though to be fair, the embellishments sort of ARE the dress).
In the end I think this project is too cool to not share, so I tried to patch together what I did film into something that makes sense. I hope it is enjoyable and that you like this dress as much as I do!
(even though it is a little weird. that is sort of part of its charm)

We love seeing you take breaks.and be real about what's going on with you, because we all feel that pressure in life and I hope you know you're not alone, and it's okay to take breaks. It's healthy. Enjoy being creative when you do,and if that means just posted photos instead of a sewing vlog sometimes that's okay too. Or nothing! 😄 you have thousands of hours of footage for us already.
I have no words to describe how much I love this! Thank you Angela, it is truly a pleasure to watch you create this beautiful dress - and I would wear it literally everywhere! And yes, yes, yes to a matching menswear ensemble!
A masterpiece- glad you shared it.
ART!
The Dragon Dress is complete! And it is totally my cup of tea. If you make a headpiece for it I would totally watch that video.
A work of art. Angela you are a genius with a unique vision for your craft. Thank you
This is incredible! Angela, you are amazing.
Wow love it! The eyes are great too. I am tempted to make my own scaly wonder. The techniques you used were inspired.
I am AMAZED, this dress is truly MAGICAL. The amount of work and dedication you put into it leaves me speechless... Fantastic job, Angela.
You really showed your creativity with this amazing dress.
Thank you Honora.
What is flat lining? I know what it is in the medical sense but not the sewing sense.
Two pieces of fabric, of the same pattern piece, are basted together and then treated as one piece when sewing it to the other pieces.
AMAZING.. absolutely amazing! Maybe someone from the new dragon series will commission to wear it to an award ceremony??
Bravo!
Bedazzled and weird is the right vibe for spooky season 😉
Thanks for sharing what you have. I am super excited to see it
