JTA v0.6 Devlog #9
All 6 Devilkin/Succubus scenes have been implemented, with each having a different unique perspective on corruption and hunger. The follow-up to the Werewolf scene in the Market has also been made, and the ending is being worked on as a type this (metaphorically speaking). Alongside all of this, 3 unique Ghost mini-games have been implemented, with the more you complete the more you lose of yourself to the Manor itself with a dedicated ending. Overall, this update is planned to have 7 more endings than the previous version, with some being longtime community requests.
Unfortunately, as I stated on the Discord recently, I've decided to axe the Wizard quest and associated Bandit map and enemies, simply because this update has been dragging along a lot longer than I'd like and I don't have a concrete basis on how exactly it should really flow. A few great suggestions were thrown my way on the Discord, but I don't see myself finding the interest or time to start and finish something like that in a timely manner.
The Scraping Issue.
Something I've also stated on the Discord that's moderately unpleasant is a return of the content scraping problem. A workaround has been found, but it requires file embeds to be 1+ GBs. Since my games don't come close on their own, even with unused assets excluded, I'm forced to artificially bloat them (at least the Patreon-only ones) to prevent the most egregious of automatic scraping programs.
I sincerely apologize in advance, but this is the only practical way I can maintain exclusivity and stop myself from hemorrhaging members. This "extra bloat" will however come in the form of scrapped older art and concepts, so there will still be some sort of upside to it.
Once the games grow to naturally be over 1 GB, I can immediately stop and go back to business as usual, but for now it's just a sucky stopgap.
And to the scraper(s) themselves: Kemono already died. It's successors will too. You're just ruining things for everyone else.
