Review from(https://www.youtube.com/@VRified_Games): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BF9PPtOpwDo
v1.0.2 - fixed custom resolution requirements, you no longer need it, however if game window won't fit your displayit will default DLSS preset to DLAA which you are able to change right now.
v1.0.3 - moved subtitle into visiable area also these are scaled according to same scale factor as hud ( who don't know you can scale HUD in mod overlay)
v1.0.4 - openVR fix for projections and separate archive
v.1.0.5 - inactivity timer for motion controls so it won't interfere with real controllers
v.1.0.6 - path raytracing fix
v1.0.7 - singtaure scan version potentiall for any store
v1.1.0 common framework, async AER ( x2 fps), VRS ( for few fps back), lot's of common framework improvements comes by. For now it's kind of flaky to operate menu with motion controllers, everytime you change VR resolution or starting game dlss options will be randomly selected so you need to tune them each time.
v1.1.1 stability fixes and making overlay more usable with motion controllers, it open/close overlay same combo as uevr left joy + right joy click
v1.1.3 decoupled pitch, first person view camera
v1.1.4 more stable VRS
v1.1.5 recenter view with hiruzon lock
v2.0.0 new framework version, better aiming system motion control now aiming 6dof (no IK for now), head aim also works better, also new game version supported ( resolution sliders and fov sliders could be flaky I will resolve it some dat if it jump to 5x resolution you need to edit config manually )
v2.0.1 lot's of fixes stalls, FSR support, inventory layout clipping fix, performance fixes of any kind, world scale, decoupled pitch, switched to another preprojection so some effects no longer moves with head grapgics right now mind blowing

Hi it's work with Epic version and steamVR ? i have : "XR_ERROR_GRAPHICS_DEVICE_INVALID" Edit : OpenVR was not choosen
I tested it on epic games, it was working with openvr, but you need to select runtime and close overlay and restart game
i wonder if this is still wors? i tried steam version and its run only flat... VD, quest 3, game windowed erc...
It is flat in menu’s settings etc, but scenes are 3d, make sure you didn’t click enforce flat screen by accident, delete config files for my just in case
did the mod got broken with the latest update ? it crashes to desktop after startup, tried 1.1.5
Yes, fixing it
Hi, sadly mod stopped working after latest driver (and Pimax Play update). Pretty gutted since im like mid game so desperately looking for advice.... Checklist from the above duly completed so files placed, overlay files removed etc.. Yet it crashes upon loading the game. Rolling back the driver didnt help either nor did fresh install of the game. Anyone else ended up in this corner? Some strange behaviour happening behind the scene too like regardless of removing the overlay files mentioned the game crashes then redownload them in the background... Any help appreciated since the its probably one of the most spectacular looking games in VR I have ever seen!
Nvidia driver or primax driver? I saw dlss will add ray reconstruction to aw with new driver but this would require aw version update
Hi everyone, I am playing Alan Wake 2 with the NoMoreFlat VR mod and I am running into game-breaking issues specifically when using the First-Person perspective. In Third-Person, the mod runs fine, but it breaks immersion for me. My Setup: Headset: Meta Quest 3 GPU: NVIDIA RTX 5080Runtime: Native OpenXRMy Issues (Only in First-Person mode):Warping / Image Distortion while walking: When standing still or just moving my head, the image is perfectly fine. As soon as I start walking forward, I get severe wavy/warping artifacts at the edges of my screen. Disabling VRS, DLSS NVIDIA AFR, or tweaking the renderer.ini (LensDistortion=false) did not fix this. It seems connected to the head-bobbing / camera tracking of the character model.Extreme Right Thumbstick Lag: Turning left or right with the right thumbstick is delayed by up to a second or does not register at all. It feels like the stick is fighting the heavy turn-rate/physics of the character model. There is no "Decouple Yaw" option in my menu to fix this. Since I am using an RTX 5080, performance is not the issue. It really feels like the First-Person implementation in the NorthLight VR Mod is currently broken or missing essential decoupling options for the camera and input.Has anyone with a similar Meta OpenXR setup found a workaround for the stick lag and the walking artifacts? Any help from the developers or community would be greatly appreciated!
Where can I find the next VR update for the new Starfield 1.16.236 Version?
Hi, first of all, thanks for these mods — the Alan Wake one looks incredible. I think I’m having a similar issue to what Leonidas described. I’m getting a lot of jitter (not sure how to describe it properly, I’m not a native English speaker) when turning with the sticks, Xbox controller, or mouse — it’s basically unplayable and causes motion sickness. When moving my head, it looks fine (that got fixed when I renamed nvngx_dlssg.dll, before that I also had jitter). Additionally, the stick movement has noticeable input lag. I’ve tried every configuration I could think of after reading through this thread. My setup: GPU: 5070 Ti with latest drivers (same issue with older ones) Streaming: Virtual Desktop H.264 200 Mbps (same issue with HEVC/AVC), VDXR, high or medium profile, no spacewarp, no automatic bitrate Headset: Meta Quest 3 CPU: Intel i5-14600KF Resolution: 3064×3159, DLSS Performance (same problem at lower resolutions) In-game settings: Low, no motion blur, “Disable Depth of Field” unchecked (via renderer.ini), joystick gyro aiming enabled Display mode: Borderless or windowed Connection: Dedicated router or USB cable for stability (same issue in both cases) GPU load: around 80% (even less at lower resolutions) Frame rate: 60–70 FPS Latency: about 50 ms Any idea what could be causing this? Thanks a lot!!
Jitter is caused by SSW on in VD and async AER enabled in mod. This will result in very low framerate for engine. You can try target higher fps in VD like 90 or 120 hz or sizabe SSW or async AER but I like behaviour of async aer more as it not locking engine frame rate
Hi! I've noticed a specific issue with movement smoothness. System: RTX 5080, Virtual Desktop (VDXR / OpenXR), Quest 3. The Issue: Quest 3 Controllers: Movement via thumbsticks feels stuttery and "jittery," even when the frame rate is stable. When I move using Keyboard (WASD) or an external Xbox Controller connected directly to the PC, the movement is perfectly smooth. It seems like the thumbstick input polling or emulation is causing micro-stutters that aren't present with native Windows input devices. Any suggestions please?
I just checked, on my local env, nvidia app actually changed correct model replacemnt DLSS 4.5 if you select M preset with performance or ultra this game will really blow you mind. As for input, I don't do any magic it might gave one frame lag when I hook to xinput but other than that it just submit same data as xbox controller, if this game would ve been on steam I could suggest disabling steam input for that game, but it's I belive epic games excusive still, you can try removing epic games overlay but I doubt it will solve anything.
Any reason why the game just won't inject properly to vr? Played it fine yesterday but no lucky now.
That is hard to answer with no context, mod does not save any state except config, if you messed up with config you can delete config file and run again. If you updated drivers game might want to recompile shaders delete mod dll wait for shaders compile to finish and start over
One question: my settings are first person when aiming and 3p the rest...i tried to switch to both in 1p, but then turning around (with my xbox controller) is delayed very much, i would say unplayable... but in 3p, i play everything with my controller and it works fine...any tips?
Honestly this exact game designed to play with motion controllers
just for your information: delete or rename nvngx_dlssg.dll ( one user told me it helped him) - i can confirm this. before deleting this file, flickering when turning by means of the joystick occured....
I updated to the latest build and i have a problem. First the camera just jumped onto the caracters head in the beginning of the game. only eyy balls hanging on the air... the second problem is pretty soon i can´t see the menys anymore. for some reson the menus are like a tiny box on the center allthough the game might render...im using vrto3d and a stereoscopic screen. should i downgrade to any older release ?
Seems like you need to set up stage , or recenter view
Just wanted to say thanks ! also : "SHOW ME THE CLICKER !!"
I am experience black screen now going through Open XR w/ virtual desktop, any fix for this?
If you happen to install new drivers for nvidia it cleans all shader cache, run game with no mod and better clean up shader cache before just in case
i just loaded this game, may I ask where did you find "Enable joystick gyro aiming" in the settings I can't seem to find it. Aside from this, in the limited 20 minutes i've played, hot damn that is one gorgeous game mod amazing job
it's under Gameplay->Motion Aiming->Motion Sensor functon [x] it's has to be on by default
I enabled back comments, to report any issues with experimental build

I will check out the new version with moved subs later, however the HUD scale is a bit hard to do as I can adjust it on the fly and see how it works in game I have to always go out of game in the menu so I can use the mouse to go to the overlay, you can not operate the mouse in game with overlay its not working, is this intended or can be fixed so the hud scale can be one while game is running to see the changes?
This is too much friction, scale is off if you are in flatscreen mode, as it very crucial in map and caseboard
Ok, I found how can I trick game to skip checks, will clean up mess and create a release, so no custom resolution would be needed
Yeah !!
Thanks for this great mod Mutar! How do I switch to first view please? I can't work out how to change options in the menu on my pc monitor, as I can't get to it with the mouse.
First person view is only when aiming, it is default and you can change it in mod overlay
If anyone is finding that everything is jittery, try turning off hardware accelerated graphics in the Windows graphics settings
Hi! Don't get me wrong, I appreciate your work and all that you do for VR community is great. But with good intentions I say the AW2 mod in it's current form is not giving a good VR experience and barely enjoyable. Some notes: 1. Ghosting exceeds torelable levels, so does latency. 2. Tutorial video aside, setting up resolution is a real pain in the *** 3. Lack of some kind of decoupled pitch or camera stabilization, moving around in the game easily causes motion sickness. 4. Mouse cursor is only visible on the monitor flatscreen but invisible inside the headset. 5. Not any settings in options game menu respond when I try to alter them. The mouse cursor has an effect on settings options, I hear the clicking sound, but by pressing mouse button or even Enter key on them nothing happens, nothing changes. 6. I have several custom resolutions set up in my Windows display menu but almost non of them work or even appear in the game menu. 7. Maybe it is just me, but the text size of the mod UI is still way too small for me on my 4K monitor and there is no option to set the text size bigger. Please iron these issues out if possible. Thank you!
1. If you use dlss and not replace model with 4 model you should not see any ghostings. 2. Trying to see if it possible to skip this part 3. Can’t help with that, this is third person view 4. I don’t know why do you need mouse, this mod for motion controls 5. If you watched my video, this happens if hmd resolution for one eye bigger than your display size. 6. If you have these, open windows display settings and change windows resolution to this custom one and dont try to find it in game video settings, resolution i game will be changed by mod. 7. I don’t know how often and why this is a priority for you to have ui set. if you set it once and play
Unfortunately I’m not able to launch Alan Wake 2 after the mod files are dropped into game folder. AW2 game window opens then it immediately crashes. Epic Game Store, Quest 3 + virtual desktop + 4090 - followed the above steps. I had no issues with the Starfield VR mod.
did you try to disable some settings before running mod? Like vsync and frame generation
I can't repro problems eve after restoring overlay in EpicGames, I have non HDR tv, but usually way to go is disabling HDR if anyone has it.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Virtulal Desktop user uncheck "Use Optimal Resultion Check box" in SETTINGS tab, this will lock your resolution to 1920x1080
Hey i just tried your Alan Wake 2 mod, everything works right now for me but the biggest problem is performance. It runs really bad with my 4090
can I ask how you connected ? VD ? over Steam? did you change the resolutions somehow? I am stuck with Q3 and link cable cant get into VR properly due to the resolutions issues I feel
Can anyone try deleting epic games overlay while you are waiting?
I will check if they posted any updates for the game recently, after work
just tried it , doesn't work with pimax headsets is there any workaround
not sure what I am doing wrong but it does not launch into VR, only the small ish cinema screen is visible in front of me, how to fix it so its full VR? I am using Q3 with link cable. I think has to do with the resolution set up, cant get it to work, will wait for a set up video or others to report how they did it. bit messy with the nvidia set up of large resolution thats not working for me somehow
Thanks for the mod, is it also for PIMAX users?
man perfect timing too, its on sale from today 50% off for the Deluxe Edition ;)
Forgot to mention, this is for Epic Games store only
yeah its on sale on Epic
you can play with X-Box controller yes? and head aiming?
No head aiming, sorry
fantastic ! excited to check this one out A LOT! thanks for all your work
thanks a lot
