Ok, here's a mass transit idea. Everyone gets a mech suit that can grappling hook up to passing dropships, and then when you want to get out you just get tactically deployed to your stop, and then you have the tactical flexibility and firepower of a mech suit bombined with the speed and range of a dropship.
