Recreate characters
I've spent a lot of time these past few days trying to recreate the character models. I've only been able to rely on memory and game images to complete them. The four main mistresses are now modeled, and the results look not bad, but I know the parameters of the face and body will be slightly different from before, as well as some of the colors. I'm very sad about this, but for now I just have to accept it.
The remodeling process was very difficult, much more difficult than modeling a new character. Each detail took me a lot of time. I kinda regretted adding personalized designs to the characters when I created them. To be honest, if I knew that one day I would have to recreate them like I do now, I might not have done it. Next, I'll continue remodeling the other main characters, like Catherine and Anna etc. Because they will reappear in later chapters. They are also the main characters in that comic, and I will do my best to ensure that they are exactly the same as before.
As for the game scenes, I created many of them myself. If I were to recreate all of them, it would be like remaking the entire game, so I could only recreate some scenes that would be used in later chapters. Unless I plan to remake the game, I probably won't create other scenes more.
So it may take a lot of time, and I'm not sure when the new version of the game will be released. I have other things to deal with now, so I can only try to spend more time on this project. I am really touched to see so many people encouraging and supporting me. This may also be the motivation for me to continue to complete this project. However, before the new version is released, you don't have to continue spending money on this project. I can't accept these sponsorships for nothing. Trust me, I will be back one day. I respect your work and, above all, your honesty. The game is great and it would be a shame to abandon it. Have you thought about maybe splitting it up here and making "The Mistress Is All Around Part 2" This method maybe saved you some time/work?
They look great! Honestly I really appreciate the personalized designs, it's always nice to see how every character has some slightly unique features, and it goes to show how much care has been put into the game. I'm not sure if you're still up to try recovering your files in some way, but best of luck if you end up remaking the scenes, it sounds like a lot of work, but if you managed to model the characters, it's clear that you're talented enough to make it look perfect again.
I literally cannot tell if those were the original or are new. Look the same to me and I would never notice subtle differences as it is. Even if I did I wouldnt care to be honest since I care mostly about writing etc. For scenes that sucks though... Maybe its possible to create scenes that only really exist from a single camera angle or use images that already exist in game for like overall room shots etc and just do more zoomed in shots for new scenes etc. Might be a way to storyboard scenes such that the work is minimized. Could AI out characters from the overall room shots that exist in the game and use those as a base maybe? Not sure how the software works
Again, I would say it be wiser to reopen payment for a month or 2 and allocate the funding to a professional Data recovery company. Anyways I wish you all the best for future Projects.
I don’t think most people are going to overly care about the exact details being the same, as long as the overall design is consistent. Only real difference I can see from this is Reina’s ponytail looks slightly shorter? Or it’s just the angle.
