I have been making tweaks all week, so apologies if you have noticed the version number changing. Thank you to everyone who has taken time to report issues and share logs and details, it genuinely helps me track down what is happening and fix it
🍸Module 1 - Substance Abuse update🍸
This module is now compatible with most functional alcohol CC !
See the overview below for which CC creators appear to make functional alcohol drinks and whether they are currently supported:
**A couple people asked about KawaiiStacie mods and Tatabear. Those mods do not add alcohol drinks CC, they just add drink effects to the existing EA drinks, so there is no overlap with Module 1.
If I have missed any other creators who do functional alcohol drinks CC, OR if i am incorrect on the above please let me know so I can review and/or correct
🍹 Mocktails 🍹✅ Right now only Icemunmun does mocktails (I BELIEVE?), so I have added those to the pregnancy appropriate bar menu.

🍎Module 4 - Healthy Eating 🍎- Compatibility for custom foods CC is still pending. This one is going to be more complicated, so it will take longer while I work through a sensible approach.

Gameplay updates
Skin to skin interaction now available on infants
Updated all skin to skin interactions so Sims are appropriately unclothed (not naked)
Non-birth parents can now also do Skin to skin contact.
Progress on trackers and negative effects will no longer continue once sim goes into labour
Increased weight gain from bottle feeding and breast feeding for newborns with the Low Birth Weight complication
🔧Bug Fixes updates🔧
Fixed a possible issue where Pregnancy Glow was not being removed after pregnancy
Fixed an issue where Stiff Plank was not disappearing properly
Fixed issues with idles when a Sim is sitting down
Fixed an issue where routine appointments were not appearing
Fixed an issue where newborn complications were appearing on toddlers
Created Alcohol exemption list and included rootbeer and Cream cola as EA classifies these as being alcoholic.
⚖️Still Fine Tuning !
I am still balancing the overall intensity, especially how easily pregnant Sims get complications or negative effects from irresponsible behaviours. I made it more intense because most pregnancies only last 3-4 game days, but I am very open to feedback on what feels too harsh or too easy.
⚠️Next week’s patch update
There is an EA patch expected next week, and it is likely to affect this mod and other mods because there is an expected change to how family relationships are tracked. Responsible Pregnancy does incorporate family relationship functionality, so please be cautious about updating your game next week and continuing an existing save with this mod installed. The Political World mod does not have this functionality but I will still test and review it just in case.

This makes me want to return to playing the game! Have you considered risk regarding changing cats' litter box under the chores module? Does this allow pregnant hot tub use or unsafe excercizes with risks, or are those things still blocked?

Had to come back here to comment this, won't be playing my game for a while since the new update broke mods, and the game is unplayable for me without them. I genuinely did not know how much fun I would have with my pregnant sim using this mod. I even extended how long a sim stays pregnant just so I could play more with my preggo sim. I already mentioned how much I love the fact that you integrated other mods when making this, and at first, I thought it would just feel like an addition, but sometimes I would mistake some of your features as something from another pregnancy mod, that's how seamless it was. You mentioned that you made this after research? you must have done a lot cuz my sister is a medical student, and even she was like, "wow yeah that happens did the game add that?" I had no idea about a lot of the risks of pregnancy, like how the effects of psychedelics on unborn babies is underresearched. Usually when creators release mods there are expected bugs, but you must be a genius or something because literally everything is working so well, the only "issue" is just the water bottle for hydration spoiling in the inventory after a while, but that's not really a bug its just that EA thinks water should go bad and smell if its not in the fridge. 🙄 It's currently 3 am where I am in the world rn and I've just spent hours cc shopping for maternity wear and rebuilding different builds in my save file for more pregnancy-friendly stuff. 😊 I'm not a paying member on patreon cuz in my country the dollar-to-my-currency ratio is kinda insane, plus I'm a temp, so paying would be an expensive luxury. Is there any other way I can support you for the work you do? Sorry, this is so long I'm half asleep. 🫠

It means alot to me 🥲🥲🥲 I googled soo much to create this mod and im pretty sure im now on some kind of watch list for constantly goggling things like "what happens when I drink alcohol whilst pregnant" .. Google kept giving me helplines to call😭😭🤣..and I appreciate all forms of support and this message was worth a million dollars 😁💜 (I will also check out the water spoiling issue to see if I can extend that)

For the healthy eating module, I think there might be something on the backend that classifies foods as healthy or a junk food? I love the health food nut and junk food lifestyles from Snowy Escape and they’ve always worked well with my custom foods. Might be something that could simplify things for you!
Yeah but the issue is that module 4 doesnt rely on that EA tag as I added my own tag and categorisation of what I considered to be healthy food😭 soo I either need to get other cc creators to use my tag on their food (long for them), OR find a way to inject my tag on their individual recipes via script (LONG for me) OR just change the way I have tagged healthy food so that it can easily align with cc food (also long) 😭🤣 no easy option but it is doable just not quickly🫠

I have been playing with this and I am a huge fan. That said could you add a setting to lower intensity for longer pregnancies. I play pregnancy ranging from 6-52 days and its to much for longer pregnancies. My sim tended the garden and then had a massive migraine for 3 days
🤣🤣That is hilarious and terrible im so sorry !! But YES that does make sense i think i will make three separate versions of the mod for people who play with longer pregnancies (Short, Medium & Long)
